Blood tests are one of the newer medical procedures in Charisma Hospital: Medical Simulator. Unlike basic vitals or medication, they require you to unlock the feature first and then complete a short lab workflow before receiving the patient's results. The game is still in Beta, so this system may change as new updates are released.

Do you need to unlock blood tests?

Yes.

Blood testing isn't available to every new player immediately. Current community information indicates that the feature is tied to progression or newer update content rather than being available from the start. However, the developers have not published an official unlock checklist, so the exact requirement hasn't been confirmed.

How to do a blood test in Charisma Hospital in 5 steps

Once blood testing becomes available, the procedure follows the standard patient workflow.

The Blood Test consists of five simple steps:

1. Insert the Cannula
   • Interact with the patient's arm to insert a Cannula and secure IV access.
   • Complete the timing minigame by stopping the indicator inside the green zone.
   • Press Inject to successfully secure the IV.
2. Collect the Blood Sample
   • Interact with the patient again.
   • Select Venipuncture.
   • Once complete, you'll receive a Blood Tube.
   • The game will display: "Blood sample collected. Send it through the pneumatic tube."
3. Send the Sample to the Laboratory
   • Carry the Blood Tube to the nearby PATSLIDE pneumatic tube station.
   • Interact with the terminal and select Blood.
   • The sample will automatically be sent to the laboratory for analysis.
4. Wait for the Results
   • The laboratory will process your sample after a short delay.
   • No additional minigame is required.
   • Continue treating the patient's other symptoms while you wait.
5. Check the New Symptom
   • Once the analysis is complete, reopen the patient's chart.
   • The previously Locked Symptom will now be revealed.
   • Use the newly unlocked symptom together with the existing ones to determine the correct diagnosis.
