VCT Japan Stage 1 Viewers' Guide - Group Stage

All of the leagues started except VCT 2022 - Japan - Stage 1 - Challengers Week 1, which starts on February 26 with Group A games.

Group Stage:

The group stage of VCT 2022 - Japan - Stage 1 - Challengers Week 1 welcomes 8 of the best teams in the region. All of the teams have qualified for the main event by earning their spots in VCT 2022 - Japan - Stage 1 - Challengers Week 1 - Open Qualifier. According to the tournament format, the top two teams of each group will advance to VCT 2022 - Japan - Stage 1 - Challengers Playoffs. There will be a semi final game to start the fire in the group and the winners will compete in the grand final. The third and fourth teams won’t qualify for the playoffs but they will search for their luck in VCT 2022 - Japan - Stage 1 - Challengers Week 1, which will start on March 12.

Group Stage games will start on February 26 and the winner of Group will be clear on that day. On the other hand, Group B’s winner will be set on February 27. The final games of each group will be played on the same day with group games.

Teams to watch:

Even though these teams are the best in their region, there is a huge strength difference on paper, comparing both groups. Group A participants, IGZIST, FENNEL, REJECT, and BLUE BEES are all full of talented players but on the other side of the competition, there is experience as some teams have been competing since the beginning.

Crazy Raccoon, QT DIG∞, NORTHEPTION, and ZETA DIVISION are four of the biggest esports organisations in the region. Moreover, some teams made changes regarding lineups and their rosters look strong on paper which means the entertainment level will be so high for the fans. The competition of Group B will be interesting for sure.
