Hush is the 30th playable agent to join VALORANT, meaning players could soon encounter her in ranked matches and the competitive scene.

Hailing from Guangdong, China, the Duelist joins VALORANT with one of Riot Games’ most unique kits yet. In this guide, we cover everything you need to know about the new Agent, including her abilities, tips and tricks, voice actor, and more.

    Who is Hush?

Hush is the newest agent joining VALORANT. Hailing from Guangdong, a province on China's southern coast, she becomes the third Chinese agent in the game, following Sage and Iso.

There is still limited information available about Hush's backstory. Riot Games is expected to reveal more details about the new agent in the near future.

    Hush Voice Actress

Aino Shimada is the Japanse voice actress for Hush.

So far, Riot Games has not revealed the English or Chinese voice actresses for the agent.

    Hush Release Date

Hush comes out on October 27 along with Patch 13.09. However, Hush won't be available to all players right away.

As with previous agent releases, players can unlock her using Kingdom Credits or VALORANT Points, or gain access through an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.

As with previous agent releases, Riot Games is expected to introduce a limited-time recruitment event where players can earn XP by playing matches and completing missions to unlock Hush for free.

You can watch Hush’s official reveal trailer below.

    Hush VALORANT Abilities

    • Telekinesis (Passive): Hush can pick up weapons, collect the Spike, and interact with map switches from an increased range. This allows her to secure crucial items or trigger doors and objectives without exposing herself to risky sightlines.

How to Play Hush: Tips and Tricks

Let’s dive into how to use the Agent on attack and defense effectively!

    Attack

Despite being a Duelist, Hush offers a different approach to entering sites. Rather than relying on explosive firepower to make fast entries, her mechanical kit allows her to create opportunities to secure kills once inside. With a flash, a dash, and an ability that can stun enemies, Hush can help her team secure early picks while remaining a threat even after the Spike is planted.

Hush can also be very strong in post-plant situations, an area where Duelists often struggle due to kits designed around fast entries and securing one or two kills before going down. Hush, however, brings additional value after the Spike is planted, with her levitation-based ultimate offering a powerful way to deny defuses.

Hush can use her ultimate to deny defuses from a considerable distance, as she can control it from far away, much like Sova's ultimate. Her kit is also well-suited to stalling when the team lacks the utility needed to secure a post-plant. By using her flash and Displacement, she can buy valuable time for her teammates to regroup and coordinate a more effective defense of the Spike.

    Defense

On defense, Hush has a strong kit for stalling enemy pushes and preventing attackers from taking a site too easily. Her flash and Displacement ability can slow down an incoming execute, buying valuable time for her teammates to rotate and reinforce the site.

Her kit is equally effective in retake situations, allowing her to help her team regain control of a site, eliminate defenders, and create opportunities to defuse the Spike.

As a Duelist, Hush may not have the ideal tools to hold a site on her own, but that doesn't mean she can't do so effectively. Her main weakness is the lack of utility to block enemy advances for extended periods, such as smokes, walls, or mollies. However, her dash gives her the mobility to reposition quickly, allowing her to take fights from a different angle or retreat and wait for her teammates to arrive.

However, Hush is a highly mechanical agent, meaning players will need to invest time in mastering her full potential. With a high skill ceiling and abilities that can be situational, she requires practice and a solid understanding of her kit to make the most of her firepower in different scenarios.
