The Apex Legends Ranked Ladder is the new proving ground for serious competitors this Season 25. Respawn has changed the game with skill-based placements and a fresh leaderboard that rewards your best performances—not just how many you play. If you want to rank up faster, get better rewards, and beat the competition, you need to know how these changes affect you.

What’s new in Ranked for Season 25?

The Ranked mode has undergone significant changes with Apex Legends Season 25: Prodigy:

    • Skill-based placement: Initial rank placement is now determined by a player's hidden Matchmaking Rating (MMR), ensuring more balanced matchmaking.
    • Removal of bronze reset: Players who skipped a season are no longer reset to Bronze IV; instead, their rank is based on their MMR.
    • Introduction of Ranked Ladder: A new competitive feature where players' top 10 Ranked Point (RP) scores during the Ladder period determine their leaderboard position and rewards.

What is Apex Legends Ranked Ladder?

The Ranked Ladder is a limited-time event where players compete on a separate leaderboard based on their performance in Ranked matches. Unlike the standard Ranked system, which tracks your overall progress throughout the season, the Ranked Ladder focuses on your top 10 highest-scoring matches during the event period.

Apex Ranked Ladder in 4 steps

    1. Play ranked matches: You can play as many Ranked games as you like during the Ladder event.
    2. Top 10 scores count: Only your 10 best matches (based on Ranked Points earned) will count towards your Ladder ranking.
    3. Continuous improvement: If you achieve a higher score in a new match, it will replace your lowest score among the top 10, allowing you to improve your ranking over time.ü
    4. Minimum requirement: You must complete at least 10 Ranked matches during the event to be placed on the Ladder leaderboard and qualify for rewards.

    Ranked Ladder rewards

Participating in the Ranked Ladder can earn you various rewards:

    • Battle Pass Stars: Earned by placing in the top percentages of the Ladder leaderboard.
    • Exclusive dive trail: Achieved by finishing in the top 10% in three separate Ladder events within a split.
