Season 25 has landed, and with it comes a brand-new Apex Legends map rotation! From the skies of Olympus to the lunar terrain of Broken Moon, each map has its own vibe and demands a different playstyle. In this Apex Legends guide, we’ll break down the current map rotation and explore how it shapes gameplay strategies in both public and Ranked modes.

Apex Legends Season 25 map rotation

Season 25, titled "Prodigy," introduced a core three-map rotation for both Battle Royale public matches and Ranked playlists. The current Apex Legends map rotation includes:

    • Olympus
    • Storm Point
    • World’s Edge
    • Broken Moon

Midway through the season, Broken Moon was added back into the rotation, while E-District (introduced in Season 24) was temporarily removed.

This means that players will now cycle through Olympus, Storm Point, World’s Edge, and Broken Moon, giving a varied mix of fast-paced, long-range, and tactical maps.

    Olympus

Olympus is a bright, futuristic city floating in the sky. With wide open spaces, long sightlines, and many ziplines and launch pads, it favors fast movement and vertical play. Squads need to stay mobile and watch for third parties due to limited cover in key areas.

    Storm Point

Storm Point is the largest map in the current Apex Legends map rotation. It features tropical terrain, cliffs, beaches, and scattered POIs. Its size encourages slower-paced, strategic play with a focus on long-range fights and safe rotations using gravity cannons.

    World’s Edge

World’s Edge is a fan-favorite for its balance of urban combat zones and wide-open areas. Locations like Fragment encourage fast-paced, close-quarters action, while areas like Train Yard and Lava Fissure support sniping and flanking tactics. It’s one of the most versatile maps in rotation.

    Broken Moon

Broken Moon combines lunar landscapes with a mix of tight spaces and open battlegrounds. Zip rails allow for quick rotations across the map, which rewards aggressive positioning. The design supports mid-range combat and creative movement strategies.

How the map rotation affects Apex Legends

With the same Apex Legends map rotation shared between public and Ranked modes, players must be versatile in adapting their strategies:

    • Map awareness is more important than ever. Players climbing the Ranked ladder must memorize POIs, rotations, and safe zones across all four maps.
    • Legend selection should match the map. For example, movement-heavy legends shine on Olympus, while defensive picks dominate in Storm Point.
    • Loadout flexibility is key. Players may need to swap between SMGs and snipers depending on the current map in rotation.

What to expect in future Apex Legends map rotations

Respawn has been experimenting with map changes each season, and Season 25’s Apex Legends map rotation is no exception. While no major reworks were introduced this time, the removal of E-District hints at future balancing or updates for newer maps.

As we approach Season 26, players can expect more rotation changes that will likely include refreshed POIs or limited-time map events.
