In 2022, Riot Games added a new rank to VALORANT Competitive mode, Ascendant. According to Riot Games, the Ascendant rank has been introduced into the game to improve player distribution. This potentially improves how well players are matched to their true rank, making matches in higher ranks a little more balanced.

How good is Ascendant in VALORANT?

The Iron to Silver ranks are reserved for players who are still learning or are not very familiar with first-person-shooters (FPS) games. Gold and Platinum already contain those players who have some fundamentals downand can handle themselves. Most VALORANT players are between the Silver and Platinum ranks. If you are in Diamond, you can consider yourself a good player, if you are Ascendant, you have very decent skill and if you finally reach Immortal, your VALORANT skills are remarkable. Radiant is reserved for those players who really dedicate themselves to the game and professional players. In other words, being among this select group is quite an accomplishment.

How to get out of Ascendant in VALORANT?

To get out of the Ascendant rank in VALORANT, you must first understand what the rank requires. The Ascendant rank is an above-average rank that requires players to have a good understanding of the game's mechanics and team dynamics. Therefore, players who want to get out of the Ascendant rank must focus on improving their game sense, knowledge, and ability to work as a team.

One way to improve skills is to practice regularly and with purpose. Players can also study professional players' strategies, and participate in community tournaments to gain experience. Additionally, improving communication and teamwork with your team can greatly increase your chances of winning and ranking up. Understanding your role in the team, practicing callouts, and utilizing different VALORANT agents can help you become a valuable asset to the team, ultimately leading to victories and a higher rank. In summary, to get out of the Ascendant rank, you must improve your individual skills, as well as your team play and communication. That should improve your chances in achieving victories, which inevitably lead to ranking up.
