To Prestige in Warzone, you need to reach Level 55 and then manually enter Prestige through the Career progression menu.

Prestiging resets your level and relocks most Level Unlock content, but gives you a new Prestige rank, rewards, and a Permanent Unlock.

Here's how the current Warzone Prestige system works.

    How to Prestige in Warzone

    Follow these steps:

    1. Play Warzone and earn XP until you complete Level 55.
    2. Open Career.
    3. Select Progression.
    4. Open the Prestige section.
    5. Review what will reset.
    6. Choose to enter Prestige.
    7. Confirm your choice.

You'll enter Prestige 1 and start leveling again.

Prestige is optional. You can stay at Level 55 if you don't want to reset your Level Unlock progression.

What happens when you Prestige in Warzone?

Entering Prestige sends you back through the Level 1-55 progression track.

Most items tied directly to Player Level are relocked, meaning you'll need to reach their required levels again.

However, you don't lose everything you've earned.

Progress and content that remain available include things such as your weapon progression and cosmetics, while permanently unlocked content also stays available.

What are Permanent Unlocks in Warzone?

Each Prestige gives you one Permanent Unlock.

You can use it on a Level Unlock item so it won't be relocked during future Prestiges.

This is best used on something you rely on that normally unlocks late in the 1-55 progression.

For example, if one of your favorite Warzone weapons doesn't unlock until Level 50+, permanently unlocking it means you won't have to grind back to that level after every Prestige.

You can earn 10 Permanent Unlocks in total, one from each Prestige.

How many Prestiges are there in Warzone?

The current Warzone progression has 10 Prestiges before Prestige Master.

    The loop works like this:

    Level 1 → Level 55 → Prestige 1 → Level 55 → Prestige 2 → repeat

You'll continue resetting and leveling through all 10 Prestige ranks.

Once you've completed Prestige 10, you can move into Prestige Master.

How to reach Prestige Master in Warzone

Complete all 10 Prestiges to unlock Prestige Master.

Unlike the regular Prestige grind, Prestige Master doesn't repeatedly send you back through the Level 1-55 unlock track.

Instead, the level cap extends to Level 1,000.

Prestige Master also has additional rewards and customization options as you continue leveling, including Prestige Master Titles and Level Colors.

Does Warzone Prestige reset your guns?

Prestiging your player rank isn't the same thing as resetting all your weapon progress.

Weapon progression is separate from your Career Prestige progression.

A weapon itself may become unavailable if it's tied to a Level Unlock that gets relocked, but the progress you've already made with that weapon isn't simply erased.

Once you regain access to it—or use a Permanent Unlock—you can continue using your existing progression.

    Warzone Weapon Prestige explained

Warzone also has a separate Weapon Prestige system.

Once a compatible weapon reaches its maximum weapon level, you can choose to Prestige that individual weapon.

Weapon Prestige resets its weapon level to 1 and relocks most earned attachments, giving you another progression track with rewards such as Prestige Attachments and universal Prestige camos.

Optics remain permanently unlocked, while weapon customization such as camos, reticles, charms, decals, and stickers isn't reset.

This is completely separate from your normal Warzone Career Prestige.

Why can't I Prestige in Warzone?

If the Prestige option isn't available, the most likely reason is that you haven't completed Level 55 yet.

Remember that simply reaching the end of the normal progression doesn't automatically Prestige your account. You have to choose to enter Prestige manually.

    Check:

    Career → Progression → Prestige

If you're already Prestige 1 or higher, you'll need to complete another 55-level progression before entering the next Prestige.

Is Prestiging worth it in Warzone?

Prestiging is mainly for players who want to continue the Warzone progression grind and unlock its Prestige rewards.

You don't have to Prestige to keep playing Warzone. Staying at Level 55 lets you continue playing without voluntarily relocking your Level Unlock content.
If you do Prestige, use your Permanent Unlock carefully. Prioritizing a late-level weapon or another item you regularly use can make the next 1-55 grind much easier.

The basic Warzone Prestige path is:

Reach Level 55 → Career → Progression → Prestige → Enter Prestige → level back to 55 → repeat through Prestige 10 → Prestige Master.
