How to get Flex in VALORANT: Phone, snowflake & more

What is Flex in VALORANT?
Flex is a new type of cosmetic category in VALORANT, introduced in Season 2025 Act I. A Flex item is a handheld item that your character can display in-game, letting you show off your style. Riot Games describes Flex as a way for players to express themselves, just like they do with skins, sprays, and player cards.
Flex items feature unique animations, can be displayed at any time—before, during, or after rounds—and are purely cosmetic, ensuring no impact on gameplay mechanics like hitboxes or movement speed. Flex adds a fun, interactive way to express yourself without affecting competitive balance.
You can equip up to four Flex items and mix them with Sprays on your Expressions Wheel.
How to equip Flex in VALORANT
To use a Flex item in your games, you need to equip it first. Here’s how:
- Go to the Collection Tab: Open VALORANT and click on Collection in the main menu.
- Select the Expressions Wheel: Look for the Expressions Wheel button in the bottom-right corner.
- Choose the Flex Tab: Switch to the Flex section at the top.
- Equip Your Flex: Pick the Flex item you want and press Equip to assign it to a slot.
You can equip up to four Flex items and mix them with Sprays on your Expressions Wheel.
How to use Flex items
Once your Flex item is equipped, you can use it during a match:
- Open the Expressions Wheel: Press T (by default) on PC or the Right D-Pad on consoles to bring up the wheel.
- Select Your Flex: Pick your Flex item from the wheel, and your character will hold it.
- Switch Back to Weapons: Press the Expressions Wheel button again or switch to a weapon when you’re ready to fight.
All Flex items so far and how to get them
At launch, there are two confirmed Flex items in VALORANT:
- A free Flex item, which is a handheld phone displaying an image of Brimstone.
- The Stellar Dendrite Flex, a snowflake-themed item available through the Season 2025 Act I Battlepass.
Riot Games has announced that more Flex items will be introduced in future Battlepasses and updates throughout 2025.
Free FLEX skin: How to get the phone in VALORANT
To celebrate the launch of Flex, Riot Games is giving every player a free Flex item starting January 8, 2025. This free item is a handheld phone with a picture of Brimstone. It will automatically appear in your inventory when you log in during the launch week—no extra steps needed!
How to get the snowflake in VALORANT
The Stellar Dendrite Flex, a snowflake-themed item, is available in the Season 2025 Act I Battlepass. To get it:
- Buy the Battlepass for 1,000 VALORANT Points (around $10 USD).
- Play matches and complete challenges to unlock tiers.
- The Stellar Dendrite Flex is a reward for reaching a specific tier in the Battlepass.
How to get more Flex items
