Season 4 Week 4 challenge asks players to “Get 2 Eliminations using an Infil Weapon.” Don't overthink this one; an "Infil Weapon" isn't some secret blueprint or hidden map pickup, it's literally just your Infiltration Weapon, aka the default pistol you hold the second you drop out of the plane or respawn from the Gulag!

For that Season 4 Week 4 challenge, all you gotta do is hang onto that starting sidearm. Crack their plates and down them with your primary gun like you normally would, then switch to your spawn pistol to thirst the downed player for the finish. But first, what is an Infil Weapon in Warzone?

An infil weapon in Warzone is the weapon you are automatically carrying when you enter the map. In most Battle Royale playlists, this is the basic sidearm in your hands when you leave the aircraft. It is not a gun picked up from the ground, bought from a Buy Station, or taken from a Loadout Drop.

What counts as an infil weapon?

The safest definition is the weapon issued to you at the start of your insertion. The exact model can change with the playlist or a future update, so identify it by how you received it: if it was already in your hands when you entered the map, it is your infil weapon.

Raven Software’s official Season 4 patch notes treat a player’s “infil weapon” as separate from ground-loot weapons. Current challenge guides and player testing likewise point to the spawn weapon used immediately after the initial drop.

What does not count?

Ground-loot guns do not count, even if they have no attachments. Custom Loadout weapons do not count. Weapons purchased from a Buy Station do not count. A gun taken from another player also does not count.

A weapon received after the Gulag or a redeploy may look like another infil weapon, but current community reports are inconsistent. For reliable tracking, complete the challenge with the weapon from your initial insertion rather than relying on a post-Gulag weapon.

How to get eliminations with an infil weapon fast

1. Start a Warzone Battle Royale match. Battle Royale Casual is the easiest option when available because its mixed player-and-bot lobbies provide more forgiving opening fights.
2. Do not replace your starting weapon after you land. You may collect armor plates, cash, ammunition, and equipment, but keep the infil weapon equipped.
3. Land near an isolated enemy or a player who has not moved from the end of the flight path. Avoid crowded rooftops where opponents can immediately find rifles or SMGs.
4. Down and finish the target with the infil weapon. In squad modes, make sure the same starting weapon delivers the elimination; switching to another gun for the finish may prevent progress.
5. Repeat until the challenge shows two eliminations. The kills do not need to happen in one match unless the challenge text specifically says so.

Is an infil weapon the same as a starting pistol?

Usually, yes. In a playlist that starts you with a pistol, that pistol is your infil weapon. The category refers to the weapon supplied on insertion, not to one permanent gun model.

Do you need both eliminations in one match?

No. The current Week 4 challenge only requires two eliminations and does not state that they must be earned in a single match.

Why is the infil weapon challenge not tracking?

First, confirm that the infil weapon caused the actual elimination, not only the down. Then avoid swapping weapons, melee finishing, or using lethal equipment on the downed opponent. If progress still does not appear, finish the match or return to the lobby so the challenge counter can refresh, then try a standard Battle Royale or Battle Royale Casual match.

Challenge tracking has had weapon-category bugs before. Raven Software’s Season 4 notes specifically fixed an issue where infil-weapon kills incorrectly counted as ground-loot kills, so a new tracking problem can be playlist- or patch-specific.
