How to get agents in CS2
There are quite a few different skins that you can obtain in CS2, and agents are one of them. They do not change damage, movement, aim, or weapon behavior. Still, many players want them because they add more personality to a loadout and can change the sleeves you see while holding weapons.
Players can get agents in CS2 by buying them from the Steam Community Market or trading with other players. CS2 does not currently give agents through normal weekly rewards, so the market is the main route for most players. Older operations once gave players agent rewards, but those events are no longer active. Here is a detailed look at agents in CS2, how to get them, and some of the best ones you can find in the market!
What are agents in CS2?
Agents in CS2 are character skins for the Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist sides. Instead of using the default local player model, you can equip a specific agent from your inventory. Once equipped, that agent appears as your character model in matches.
Valve first added agents during Operation Shattered Web. At the time, players could earn stars through missions and use them to receive T-side and CT-side characters. Later operations added more agent collections, including Broken Fang and Riptide.
Players can equip separate agents for each side. That means you can use one agent for CT-side and another for T-side if you own both types.

How to get more agents
The easiest way to get more agents in CS2 is to use the Steam Community Market. Steam has a Counter-Strike 2 market section where players can buy and sell items, including agents. You can search for “agent” or use the CS2 item filters to find character skins.
Here is the basic process:
- Open Steam.
- Go to the Community Market.
- Select Counter-Strike 2.
- Search for “agent” or use the Agent item filter.
- Pick the agent you want.
- Buy it with Steam Wallet funds.
- Equip it from your CS2 inventory or loadout menu.

Prices change often because the Steam Market depends on player supply and demand. A cheaper agent can cost far less than a rare Master Agent. Before you buy one, check the side, look, price history, and current listings.
Trading is another way to get agents. You can trade CS2 skins, cases, or other inventory items with another player. This can work well if you already own items with market value.
Can you get agents for free?
No, you can’t get free agents in CS2. Weekly rewards do not work like old operation agent rewards. You may receive an agent from a friend through a trade, but that depends on another player. Giveaways can exist outside the game, but they are not officially guaranteed methods.
Players should stay careful with “free agent” websites. If a site asks for your Steam login, trade link, or account access, avoid it. A cheap agent from the Steam Market is safer than a fake free offer.
How to equip agents in CS2
After you buy or trade for an agent, you need to equip it from your inventory. Open CS2, go to your loadout or inventory, select the agent slot, and choose the character you want to use.
You can equip one agent for the Terrorist side and one for the Counter-Terrorist side. If you only own one side’s agent, your other side can still use the default local model.
Best agent skins in CS2
The best agent skins in CS2 depend on your budget, side preference, and loadout style. Some players want clean sleeves for their gloves. Others want a rare character with unique voice lines.
When choosing the best CS2 agent skin, check these points before buying:
- T-side or CT-side use
- Price and market history
- Sleeve appearance
- Glove and weapon combo
- Voice lines
- Rarity and collection
Here are some of the best ones you can find in the market:
Sir Bloody Miami Darryl | The Professionals
Sir Bloody Miami Darryl is one of the most recognizable T-side agents in CS2. The bright shirt, mask, and bold sleeve design make him easy to notice in first person. Players often pick this agent because he gives the T-side loadout a louder style without changing gameplay.

Davida “Goggles” Fernandez | Guerrilla Warfare
Davida “Goggles” Fernandez is a strong pick for players who want a more grounded T-side agent. Her tactical look feels cleaner than many louder character skins, and the goggles give the model a clear identity. She works well for players who want an agent that looks distinct but not too flashy.

Getaway Sally | The Professionals
Getaway Sally is a T-side agent with a sharper street-crime style. Her look fits The Professionals faction well and gives players a different option from the usual masked male agents. She is a good choice if you want a character skin that feels stylish, simple, and easy to pair with many weapon skins.

Sir Bloody Loudmouth Darryl | The Professionals
Sir Bloody Loudmouth Darryl is another popular Darryl variant for the T-side. His design has more attitude than many standard agents, which makes him a common choice for players who like standout skins. The first-person sleeves also make him worth checking before buying, especially if you care about glove combos.

Number K | The Professionals
Number K is one of the cleanest T-side agents in CS2. The covered face, dark outfit, and simple visual style make him easy to fit into many inventories. Players often choose him because he feels premium without looking too busy. He is a strong pick for a clean T-side loadout.
