We are used to companies making jokes on April Fools’ Day, but Riot Games usually gives out free stuff or announces new items. This time, it was a carnival for the VALORANT fans. Riot Games used April Fools’ Day 2025 to bring real content to VALORANT. We saw a new skin bundle, free hun buddies, and even a whole new patch. Here are all the VALORANT April Fools’ 2025 releases that you missed!

What was released on April Fools’ 2025 in VALORANT?

On April 1, Riot released the Bolt Bundle, the new Smite 2 Bundle, and Patch 10.06. Both skin bundles came with weapons and extra cosmetics. The Bolt Bundle was added to the Featured Store, while Smite 2 was added to the Rotating Store. Players could also earn two gun buddies for free. The Blue Smite Buddy was available from April 1 to April 14, and the Gold Smite Buddy would be given between April 24 and June 1 to players who owned any Smite or Bolt item.

Along with these cosmetic items, Riot released patch v10.06, which changed agent balance and gameplay. KAY/O was buffed, while Yoru and Vyse were nerfed.

New VALORANT Bolt bundle is here

New VALORANT v10.06 patch notes are also here

Patch v10.06 is now live in VALORANT. This update changes how some agents play in ranked and pro matches. Riot made KAY/O stronger and reduced the power of Yoru and Vyse. These updates aim to bring more balance to matches and offer more choices for team setups.

    Key changes include:

    • KAY/O Buffs – His flash pops faster, and the underhand flash lasts longer. The revive time in his ultimate dropped from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
    • Yoru Nerf – His Fakeout ability now costs 200 credits instead of 100.
    • Vyse Nerfs – The duration of Razorvine and Shear was reduced.

These changes may push teams to try new strategies as KAY/O might appear more often in team comps. Players may also change how they use Vyse and Yoru.
