Guide to Warzone Prop Hunt Royale (Hide and seek)
Hide-and-seek gets tactical fastWarzone Prop Hunt Royale brings a fresh twist to Rebirth Island. Instead of chasing kills, this limited-time mode is all about hiding, spotting mistakes, and outsmarting other players. Yes, exactly like Fortnite. It is added with the last update alongside Freerun & Hot Pursuit.
At first glance, it looks silly. At a high level, it becomes psychological warfare. Here is everything you need to know.
What is Warzone Prop Hunt Royale?
Warzone Prop Hunt Royale is a limited-time game mode in Call of Duty: Warzone that turns the usual battle royale formula into a large-scale game of hide-and-seek.

Instead of dropping in for gunfights, players are split into two teams of 24 (48 total players) and alternate between two roles:
- Props: players disguise themselves as objects found around the map, such as crates, trash cans, furniture, and other environmental props. Their goal is to hide and survive until the round timer ends.
- Hunters: players search the map and eliminate every hidden Prop before time runs out.
At the start of each round, Props get a 30-second hiding phase while Hunters remain locked in spawn. Once that countdown ends, Hunters are released and begin sweeping the map. If even one Prop survives, the Prop team wins that round. If Hunters eliminate all Props, Hunters win. The first team to win three rounds wins the match.

Warzone Prop Hunt Royale is played on Rebirth Island, specifically its Winter Variant, which gives players a dense environment full of buildings, clutter, rooftops, industrial spaces, and hiding spots—perfect for Prop Hunt gameplay.
What makes Warzone Prop Hunt Royale different?
Unlike normal Warzone modes, Warzone Prop Hunt Royale is not about:
- loadouts
- rotations
- contracts
- circle strategy
- kill streaks
Instead, it rewards:
- map knowledge
- creative positioning
- attention to detail
- patience
- mind games
As a Prop, you need to look natural. As a Hunter, you need to notice what looks wrong.
