Fortnite is now part of a surprising movie campaign. Warner Bros. released a short teaser that shows Fortnite character Jonesy acting out a scene from the upcoming movie One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and will arrive in theaters soon. The move comes shortly after Fortnite’s recent crossover with the Fantastic Four and here are all the details you need to know!

    Unexpected marketing move from Fortnite
Fortnite has surprised everyone again with its latest promotional link. This time, it connects with Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming movie, One Battle After Another. This move is especially important because it is not an official crossover from Epic Games. Instead, Warner Bros., the company that distributes the film, shared the collab on Instagram.

The goal is very clear: Warner Bros. wants to reach Fortnite’s huge player base, which has many young people. This audience usually might not know Anderson’s movies. His films are often more artistic and aim for a different kind of viewer, and they may not know the books that inspire them. The first teaser was a very short, five-second video. It shows Fortnite’s main character, Jonesy. He acts out an important scene from the movie’s trailer. In that scene, Leonardo DiCaprio’s character uses a payphone. This small but powerful teaser has already caused a lot of talk on social media. You can find the images in the post below:

    What is the sponsorship about?

Warner Bros. designed this campaign to build early interest in the film. It does not add new gameplay features or cosmetic items, at least not yet, but it uses Fortnite’s popularity to share a scene in a creative way. It looks like a marketing win for both sides.

We still don’t have an official confirmation but from what we have so far, here are some of the important points:

    • The teaser shows Jonesy answering a phone at a payphone, just like Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in the film.
    • It includes the caption: “There are no hands on the clock,” which connects to the movie’s theme.
    • The teaser video lasts five seconds.
    • Warner Bros. released it through the film’s official Instagram.
    • Epic Games has not confirmed any in-game event, skins, or cosmetics

Is “One Battle After Another” coming to Fortnite soon?

Right now, there is no official announcement about full Fortnite content based on One Battle After Another. The teaser is the only link between the game and the movie. However, the teaser may lead to more updates later.

Fortnite has done many successful collaborations before. Movies like Star Wars and Avengers began with teasers and later expanded into full events with character skins, emotes, and in-game missions. In a recent collab, Epic Games and Marvel came together for the Fantastic Four Fortnite Cup. Warner Bros. could follow the same strategy if the teaser receives enough attention.

The movie has a large cast, strong action scenes, and a high production budget. These are all features that Fortnite could use to build a new crossover. Players may see characters, themed maps, or creative game modes if the partnership grows.

Will Leonardo DiCaprio appear in Fortnite?

There is no confirmation about Leonardo DiCaprio joining Fortnite. The teaser uses Fortnite’s Jonesy instead of DiCaprio’s real image. However, the idea of adding DiCaprio as a Fortnite skin has already created a lot of interest.

Fortnite has added many celebrities in the past. These include Ariana Grande, LeBron James, and Travis Scott. DiCaprio would fit into that trend. His role in the film is central, so a playable skin could support both the movie and the game.

One Battle After Another release date

One Battle After Another will be released on September 26, 2025. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a former revolutionary. He joins his old team to take on an enemy and rescue a young girl.

It also stars Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, and Teyana Taylor. Warner Bros. is spending over $140 million on the movie, according to WSJ.

Even though there is no official Fortnite content yet, the teaser has already helped the movie get attention. As the movie’s release date gets closer, there could be more teasers, new content, or even skins.
