Phoenix was one of the Agents that welcomed us in the beta version of VALORANT. The “fire boy” is also one of the coolest-looking Agents with their urban-styled outfit and hairstyle. This guide will talk about everything you need to know about Phoenix, whether their lore, abilities, the voice behind the Agent, their age, and much more!

Phoenix VALORANT abilities

  • Blaze “C” - EQUIP a flame wall. FIRE to create a line of flame that moves forward, creating a wall of fire that blocks vision and damages players passing through it. HOLD FIRE to bend the wall in the direction of your crosshair.
  • Curveball “Q” - EQUIP a flare orb that takes a curving path and detonates shortly after throwing. FIRE to curve the flare orb to the left, detonating and Blinding any player who sees the orb. ALT FIRE to curve the flare orb to the right.
  • Hot Hands “E” - EQUIP a fireball. FIRE to throw a fireball that explodes after a set amount of time or upon hitting the ground, creating a lingering fire zone that damages enemies. ALT FIRE to lob.
  • Run It Back “X” - INSTANTLY place a marker at Phoenix's location. While this ability is active, dying or allowing the timer to expire will end this ability and bring Phoenix back to this location with full health and the amount of armor he had when the ability was cast.

Phoenix VALORANT lore

Phoenix, an Agent from the UK who takes pride in himself easily, jumps into combat and turns the battlefield into his own personal playground. Even though he joined the PROTOCOL nine times, his confidence would lead one to assume differently. Phoenix's skills are focused on using fire. Phoenix can light himself on fire at a whim and can somewhat control his flames to create "constructs" that can impact the environment.. Uncertainty exists about whether his 'flames' are fire or merely a metaphor for extreme heat. Phoenix is a happy-go-lucky individual who inspires confidence and cockiness; his traits are reflected in his talents and prowess. Because of this, he frequently makes hasty, hasty, and irresponsible judgments that have frequently led to mission failure. Phoenix was a dramatic child from South London, specifically in or around Peckham. He later attended a performing arts school in Peckham, which he is said to have accidentally burnt down at some point.

How to play Phoenix: Tips and Tricks

When it comes to playing Phoenix, flexibility is the name of the game. They're a fiery Duelist known for their aggressive and fiery playstyle. Here are some essential tips to help you harness their potential:

  • **Flame On, Ignite the Battle: **Phoenix's signature ability, "Blaze," lets them cast a wall of fire that can be bent to your will. Use it to block enemy vision, create safe passages, or force opponents out of cover. Remember, you can bend the wall while casting it by adjusting your aim.
  • Heal Through the Flames: Phoenix's "Hot Hands" ability throws a fireball that explodes after a brief delay or upon impact. Use it to flush out enemies hiding in tight spots or zone them away from objectives. And don't forget, you can heal yourself by standing in the fire's lingering flames. You can also use your wall to heal too!
  • Divert and Conquer: Their "Curveball" ability sends a flare orb that momentarily blinds anyone who looks at it. Use it to disorient opponents before pushing forward or retreating. Experiment with different angles to catch foes off guard.
  • Rise from the Ashes: Phoenix's ultimate, "Run It Back," is a game-changer. When activated, it allows them to respawn if eliminated during its duration. This can catch enemies off guard and provide vital intel. Just remember, it's not a license to recklessness; plan your moves strategically.

Phoenix voice actor

Afolabi Alli is the voice behind Phoenix' in the video game VALORANT. He provides some of the game's greatest voice lines for us. He also made an appearance in an episode of the first season of the Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon.

Phoenix voice lines in VALORANT

Let’s move on to every Phoenix voice line in VALORANT. Phoenix has some of the most distinctive and striking voice lines in VALORANT, and if you're simply not feeling the flame-throwing fire merchant, his voice lines will convince you otherwise! Phoenix uses their nasty jokes to make you laugh or even to excite you, whether when he uses their Curveball to throw into B Heaven on Split or even when they notice an ally Yoru on his team! You won't hear the same cycle of 10 speech lines repeated round after round since their voice lines vary according to your circumstances.

How old is Phoenix?

Phoenix is believed to be in their early twenties, which means that they are between 20-25. However, we don’t have any official information regarding Phoenix’s age.

Phoenix, a Duelist who controls flames like no other, is the strong heart of the battlefield. Their fire-themed skills offer them unmatched influence over the battle in addition to burning their opponents. Phoenix delivers a special combination of attack and survivability, from bending firewalls to healing through infernos. The second opportunity provided by their ultimate, "Run It Back," may change the course of a game. The fiery nature of the Phoenix, which is always blazing bright and prepared for battle, also represents their strong attitude.

Why is Phoenix free in VALORANT?

If you've ever wondered why Phoenix is free, it's because they are an important part of the history of VALORANT. Phoenix was one of the first Agents added to the roster back in the beta stages when the game was just getting off the ground. Phoenix is still available for free because Riot Games chose to maintain the original concept of those early days. Therefore, there is no need to empty your wallet or finish any agent contracts because they are an ongoing present from the past.
