Apex Legends' Flatline Mythic Skin: Design and Release Details
This Mythic Flatline skin has a nifty design.Apex Legends is getting ready to release a new Mythic skin for the VK-47 Flatline. Leaks and early footage show a bold new design. While Respawn has not shared official details yet, trusted leakers say the skin is coming in Season 26. The Flatline Mythic will likely launch with its own event and include different color styles, animations, and effects. Here is everything you need to know about the leaks and the upcoming weapon in Apex Legends!
First look at the Flatline Mythic skin in Apex Legends
Flatline is a weapon that can be effective in various Apex Legends game modes and that’s why many players await this skin. The Flatline Mythic skin has a mechanical look with a steampunk theme. It features a metal body, chrome accents, and small exhaust pipes along the sides. The design is less colorful than the R-301 Mythic skin, but it looks more detailed and has a darker tone. Players who enjoy tech-inspired skins will likely find this version appealing, as seen below:

One key visual element is the gear shifter attached to the weapon. It moves during reload and inspect animations. Leaked videos show the barrel twisting as part of the reloading process, which adds a new motion style not seen in other skins. Check out the animations in the leaked video below:
There are three planned color variants: Vermilion (red), Hornet (yellow), and Limelight (green). Each variant could include its own animation and sound effects, but those details are still unconfirmed. The skin is not final, and Respawn may add more effects before the official release. You can find the unfinished versions of the skins below:

Apex Legends Flatline Mythic skin release date
Respawn has not announced a confirmed release date. However, leaks suggest the Flatline Mythic skin will come with Season 26. It will likely be part of a Milestone or Collection Event, which usually runs for a few weeks after a new season begins.
The skin was briefly shown in the 25.1 update inside the game, which suggests development is close to complete. If Respawn follows the usual schedule, the Flatline Mythic could go live shortly after Season 26 starts.
How to get the new Flatline skin
Players will need to take part in a special in-game event to unlock the Flatline Mythic skin. Respawn often uses Milestone or Collection Events for Mythic skin releases. These events require players to complete challenges or collect event items to unlock the featured cosmetic.
To get the skin, players might need Mythic Shards. These shards are the rarest in-game currency and usually come from Apex Packs. Every 500 Apex Packs guarantees one set of shards. Players who already have Mythic Shards can use them in the Mythic Store once the skin becomes available.
Details about VK-47 Flatline
The VK-47 Flatline is one of the main assault rifles in Apex Legends. It uses heavy ammo and supports both full-auto and semi-auto fire modes. The Flatline is known for its strong damage and reliable performance in close and mid-range combat.
It deals 18 damage to the body and 32 damage to the head. The headshot multiplier is 1.75x, and the leg multiplier is 0.75x. The weapon has a fire rate of 600 rounds per minute and can hold between 19 and 29 bullets depending on the magazine size.
Players can use several attachments with the Flatline. These include:
- Extended Heavy Mag (Common to Legendary)
- Optics (1x HCOG, 2x Bruiser, 3x Ranger, and others)
- Standard Stock
- Anvil Receiver (when available)
The Flatline has Weapon Mastery Trials that unlock new badges and cosmetic rewards. These include challenges like downing enemies from 50 meters in semi-auto mode, breaking enemy shields multiple times, or getting hipfire kills after using ADS.

Can you still get Mythic skins?
Yes, players can still get Mythic skins in Apex Legends, but they must use Mythic Shards or wait for special events. After a Collection Event ends, Respawn often moves the featured Mythic item into the Mythic Store.
Players earn Mythic Shards from Apex Packs. Each player receives one set of shards after opening 500 packs. These shards do not expire, so they can be saved for future Mythic releases like the Flatline.
