Players always look for different resources to improve their items in general and Blast Core is one of those items that many people try to find. It lets you upgrade copper into a better form. You will need to find this item at some point in the game as it leads to new crafting options and helps you move forward in the game. Don’t worry, we gathered all the information you need in a single guide. Here is everything you need to know about blast core in LEGO Fortnite!

What is Blast Core in LEGO Fortnite?

A Blast Core is an item in LEGO Fortnite, mainly used in the Metal Smelter recipe. This is where you turn copper into its refined version. Blast Core lets you craft advanced items, just like flexwood and knotroot. As you move forward in the game, you'll see how important these refined metals are, which makes finding Blast Cores very important.

How to get Blast Core in LEGO Fortnite

To get a Blast Core, you need to go to the Dry Valley, a desert area with lava caves. In these caves, you need to defeat a creature called the Blaster. Blasters are tough enemies that look like black shells with a fiery tip. They live in lava caves and are hard to beat because of their high health and strong attacks.

Here’s the best way to defeat a Blaster:

    1. Stay Cool: The desert and its caves are very hot and will affect your health. Eating Snowberries or drinking a Snowberry Shake can help you resist the heat for a while. Another option is to make a Cool-headed Charm with Silk Threads, Marble, and Sand Shells, which helps you stay cool without needing to eat or drink.
    2. Fight Smart: There is no specific weapon that is best against Blasters. You can use a crossbow to attack from a distance or a knight shield to protect yourself. Blasters explode when they are defeated, similar to the Creepers in Minecraft, so make sure you either block the explosion with your shield or move away quickly.

When you defeat a Blaster, it will drop a Blast Core. This core is needed to make an Inner Fire Charm, which you will need to visit new areas like the arctic frostlands.

Where to find Blast Core in LEGO Fortnite

The best place to find a Blast Core in the LEGO Fortnite map is the lava-filled desert caves in the Dry Valley Biome. These caves are shown on your map with sandy areas and cave symbols. However, not all these caves have lava, so you might need to look around a bit. Once you find the right cave, get ready for a tough fight.

Having a Snowberry Shake with you can make a big difference because it helps protect you from the heat for 10 minutes. You don't need special weapons to fight in these caves, but you do need to be careful and plan your moves well. Blasters are usually found on rocks in the caves, and they explode when threatened. The best strategy is to keep your distance or wait until they explode and then pick up the Blast Core they leave behind. Once they start running after you, stop everything you do and run to the other side and wait for it to explode.

Now that you understand the Blast Core, going into the lava caves of Dry Valley might seem a bit easier. Each Blast Core you find not only helps you advance in your quest but also lets you make better equipment and improve your base in LEGO Fortnite. FAQs

Do Blast Cores respawn in LEGO Fortnite?

Yes, Blast Cores respawn after a short period. They drop from enemies called Blasters, which are found mainly in Dry Valley caves. After defeating a Blaster, the enemy and its Blast Core will reappear after some time, allowing you to farm them repeatedly.

To speed up farming, you can leave the cave and return or exit and re-enter the area. This ensures that Blasters respawn and you can collect more Blast Cores efficiently.

What can you do with a Blast Core?

Blast Cores are an important crafting material used for several key items in LEGO Fortnite. You can use them to craft Thermal Detonators, which are powerful explosives for combat. They are also used in the Gem Cutter, which refines raw gems like Rough Ruby into Cut Ruby for crafting better tools or items. Additionally, Blast Cores are required for the Metal Smelter, which processes ores into refined metals, and for the Inner Fire Charm, which gives heat resistance useful in hot biomes like lava caves.

To craft these items, you need a Workbench and other materials depending on the recipe.

Is Blast Core hard to find?

Yes, Blast Cores are relatively rare. They are dropped only by Blasters, aggressive enemies that explode when defeated.

When I’m not behind the keyboard, I’m watching Galatasaray, following the NBA, or pretending I’m still good at basketball. I also work full-time at AnyDesk, writing serious things in not-so-serious ways.
