How to get a nuke in Warzone
To get a nuke in Warzone, you must enable the Champion’s Quest Contract, collect its marked briefcase in Core Battle Royale, finish the mission objectives, and protect the armed missile. Here is everything you need to know about it.
What is a nuke in Warzone?
A Warzone nuke is a match-ending objective tied to Champion’s Quest. It does not work like a normal Multiplayer killstreak, and a high elimination count will not activate it.
The quest gives your squad several objectives during a live Battle Royale match. You must move key items between random locations and escort a missile vehicle before the final launch. Other squads can intercept carriers, take dropped items, attack the transport, or defuse the nuke after you arm it.
How to get a nuke in Warzone
To get a nuke in Warzone, you first need access to a Champion’s Quest Contract. The two standard qualification routes are:
- Win five consecutive Core Battle Royale matches.
- Win 30 Core Battle Royale matches during one season.
The five-win route demands a full winning streak. A loss breaks the consecutive run. The 30-win route does not require consecutive victories, but you must reach the total within the same season.
A rare Extract Elements Public Event can also give your squad a contract. When the event begins, an element airdrop enters the match. The first player to interact with it starts a special mission for their squad. Finish that mission before the match ends to earn a Champion’s Quest Contract for every participating squad member.
Enemy squads have another way to gain future access. A rival team can steal one key item from an active Champion’s Quest squad and carry it to the marked extraction helipad. A successful extraction awards a Champion’s Quest token for a future match.
The Golden Ticket system is separate from this direct extraction reward. Its rare public events can give squads progress toward a Champion’s Quest token.
Repeated prematch backouts can erase active win-streak and Champion’s Quest progress. The game gives a warning before applying the penalty. Completing a full match clears the backout tracking.

How to complete the Champion’s Quest in Warzone
After your squad qualifies, enter an eligible Core Battle Royale match and collect the Champion’s Contract from the marked briefcase. Picking up the briefcase activates the four-phase mission.
Objective locations change between matches, and the full lobby can interfere with your attempt.

1. Transport the radioactive isotope
Collect the isotope and carry it to the marked destination. The item has its own ability and cooldown, but carrying it also makes your movement easier for enemy teams to track.
Choose one carrier and keep the rest of the squad nearby. Use vehicles for long rotations, but leave them before reaching exposed objective areas. Check roofs and upper windows before the carrier approaches the delivery point.
2. Recover the encrypted drive
The next phase sends the team to an encrypted drive. Collect it and survive until the related objective finishes.
The drive uses a cooldown system, so your team may need to defend the carrier while waiting for the next step. Stay close enough to recover the item if the carrier falls.
Enemy players can steal key Champion’s Quest items. They can then take one stolen item to an extraction helipad and earn a Champion’s Quest token, so losing control of the drive can end your attempt and reward another team.
3. Escort the missile transport vehicle
The third phase asks your squad to protect a missile transport vehicle as it moves toward a random destination.
Move ahead of the vehicle when possible and check roads, roofs, bridges, and other narrow routes. Keep at least one player close to the transport while the other squad members watch different directions.
Do not crowd around the same side of the vehicle. One attack or killstreak can catch several players when the squad stays too close together.
4. Launch and protect the missile
After the escort ends, your squad enters the final launch phase. Arm the nuke and protect the site during the countdown.
Enemy teams can attack the position and defuse the armed nuke. Spread around nearby cover and watch each route into the objective. Save smoke grenades, armor, and killstreaks for this final fight.
A successful missile launch awards your squad the win and ends the match.

Best strategy for completing a Warzone nuke
A coordinated squad gives you the best chance. Assign jobs before the match so everyone knows who carries quest items, who drives, who covers long-range angles, and who watches for a chase.
Use these preparation tips:
- Build cash for armor, ammunition, self-revives, and useful killstreaks.
- Carry smoke grenades for deliveries and the final defense.
- Keep a vehicle nearby before long rotations.
- Choose the best loadouts for Warzone based on each player’s job.
- Avoid fights that do not protect the route.
- Save your strongest equipment for the missile stage.
Your team should use different weapon ranges. A close-range player can protect the carrier inside buildings, while a controlled assault rifle or light machine gun can cover roads and rooftops.
