The Phantom Blade Zero × Fortnite crossover is now live through an Epic Games Store gift-with-purchase.

The Phantom Blade Zero × Fortnite crossover explained

The Phantom Blade Zero × Fortnite crossover is official and live. Buy Phantom Blade Zero through the Epic Games Store and Epic will grant the collaboration cosmetics to the Fortnite Locker connected to the same Epic account. This is a purchase reward, not a Battle Royale quest or a free Item Shop claim.

    The reward includes:

    • Soul Outfit
    • Sanguine Pickaxe
    • Sanguine Back Bling

Players who do not want the PC game can instead buy the set when it reaches the Fortnite Shop for a limited window. Epic has not published the Shop price in the offer FAQ.

How to get the Phantom Blade Zero Fortnite cosmetics

    1. Sign in to the Epic account you use for Fortnite.
    2. Pre-purchase or purchase Phantom Blade Zero on the Epic Games Store. Epic’s terms say any pre-purchase or purchase of the game through its store qualifies.
    3. Launch Fortnite with that same Epic account after the transaction is complete.
    4. Open your Locker and look for the Soul Outfit, Sanguine Pickaxe, and Sanguine Back Bling.

If you play Fortnite on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo hardware, connect that console account to the Epic account used for the Epic Games Store purchase. Epic says the cosmetics then appear across linked platforms.

    Important

A PlayStation Store pre-order does not meet the current offer terms. The qualifying purchase must be made on the Epic Games Store. If the reward does not appear, first check that the transaction completed on the correct Epic account, restart Fortnite, and verify your linked-account settings before contacting Epic Support.

When is the Phantom Blade Zero × Fortnite crossover available?

The gift-with-purchase cosmetics have been usable in Fortnite since Aug 11, 2026 at 10 PM ET. Epic says this purchase offer remains available for as long as Phantom Blade Zero is sold on the Epic Games Store.

The Soul and Sanguine set will also be sold separately in the Fortnite Shop from Oct 29, 2026 at 8 PM ET through Nov 5, 2026 at 7 PM ET. This gives Fortnite-only players a direct route to the cosmetics without buying Phantom Blade Zero.

Phantom Blade Zero itself launches on Oct 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.

What happens if you buy the set in Fortnite first?

If you buy the Soul and Sanguine cosmetics from the Fortnite Shop and later make a qualifying Phantom Blade Zero purchase on the Epic Games Store, Epic says you will receive a one-time grant of 1,600 V-Bucks instead of duplicate cosmetics. The refund applies only when the original cosmetic purchase was made within the previous 12 months.

That 1,600 V-Bucks grant should not be treated as confirmation of the set’s shop price.

What happens if you refund Phantom Blade Zero?

Refunding the Epic Games Store purchase removes the Soul Outfit, Sanguine Pickaxe, and Sanguine Back Bling from your Fortnite account. Epic also says it will remove the 1,600 V-Bucks grant if that was issued instead. Do not expect the crossover reward to remain after a game refund.

    Is the Soul Outfit free?

Not in the usual Fortnite sense. The cosmetics cost nothing extra when bundled with an eligible Phantom Blade Zero purchase, but the game purchase is required. There is no announced quest, code, or zero-cost claim method. The alternative is to buy the set in the Fortnite Shop during its confirmed sales window.

What is Phantom Blade Zero about?

Phantom Blade Zero is a single-player action RPG from S-GAME—not a Souls-like. It blends classic Chinese Wuxia storytelling with fast-paced martial-arts combat and a dark “Kungfupunk” world that combines kung fu, machinery, steampunk influences, and supernatural elements.

You play as Soul, an elite assassin who is framed for the murder of his master and hunted by his former allies. After suffering a fatal injury, a mysterious healer temporarily saves him—but the cure leaves Soul with only 66 days to live. His mission is to uncover who framed him and unravel the larger conspiracy before his remaining time runs out.

Combat is a major focus. Phantom Blade Zero features more than 30 weapons and over 20 Phantom Edges, with defeated enemies potentially giving you access to their weapons and signature techniques. Its fighting style draws heavily from traditional Chinese martial arts and the choreography of classic Hong Kong action cinema.

In short, expect a dark Wuxia action adventure built around sword fights, martial arts, bosses, weapon collecting, exploration, and a conspiracy-driven story rather than a traditional open-world RPG. Phantom Blade Zero is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and is currently scheduled for October 29, 2026 on PS5, with a PC version also announced.
