Chapter 6 Season 4, “Shock ‘N Awesome,” drops players into a chaotic battleground swarming with alien insects. Regular NPC guards are gone—replaced by Swarmers, Bombers, and three colossal Queen Bugs. Each Queen holds a Mythic weapon and a Medallion that grants powerful abilities, but they won’t go down easily. If you’re hunting loot and aiming for victory crowns, these bosses are your main targets.

    What are bosses in Fortnite?

In Fortnite: Battle Royale, bosses are the strongest AI characters you can fight. They have a lot of health and attack players as soon as they see them. When you fight a boss, you can get special rewards and powerful weapons. These bosses usually start attacking as soon as they spot a player, but some will only attack if you hit them first.

Fortnite bosses come in two main types: humanoid and creature bosses. Humanoid bosses look like regular characters but have special powers and carry unique weapons. They are often guarded by other characters and can use different weapons during a fight. Creature bosses, on the other hand, might not look like humans but are still tough enemies with valuable loot.

    Strategy

    Hive Queen

    The Hive (central nest)

    Mythic Wrecker Revolver

Surge Medallion – boosts movement speed and slide bursts

Clear swarmer waves from range, stay mobile, and aim for weak points. Rely on rifles or explosives rather than close combat.

    Ranger’s Ruin Queen

    Ranger’s Ruin (overrun O.X.R. lab)

    Mythic Tactical Shotgun

Springleg Medallion – double jump + no fall damage

Expect vertical bug attacks in tight spaces. Use shotguns for close-range fights and push aggressively once you thin out swarms.

    Demon’s Domain Queen

    Demon’s Domain (corrupted temple ruins)

    Mythic O.X.R. Assault Rifle

Carapace Medallion – heals on eliminations + passive shield regen (up to 50)

Use long-range rifles, stack shields before entering, and maintain constant pressure. Perfect for aggressive players who snowball after kills.

5 pro tips for boss hunts

    1. Gear up beforehand: Secure shields, ammo, and preferably an area-clearing weapon before stepping into a hive.
    2. Destroy nests first: Swarmers and Bombers will keep respawning unless you wipe their nests, making the Queen fight much more manageable.
    3. Use terrain: High ground and cover are key, especially against the Hive Queen and Demon’s Domain Queen.
    4. Squad up: Fighting alone is possible but risky. With teammates, you can split enemy aggro and coordinate heavy fire.
    5. Manage medallions: Each medallion makes you stronger but also reveals your position to nearby players. Always assume hunters are coming once you pick one up.

All Fortnite bosses in Chapter 5 Season 4

Chapter 5 Season 4 of Fortnite has a Marvel theme, bringing back heroes and villains to the game. Dr. Doom has teamed up with famous villains to take over the island. This season introduces three new bosses:

    • Mysterio
    • Doombot
    • Emma Frost

Each of these bosses holds special items and weapons that you need to win to progress in the game.

Fortnite boss locations in Chapter 5 Season 4

Here are all the boss locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4:

    • Doombot: You can find Doombot in Castle Doom, which is at the northeast corner of the map. This boss gives you the Mythic Monarch Pistol, Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets, and a Siphon Medallion that helps you gain health and shields when you defeat enemies.
    • Emma Frost: Emma Frost is always at The Raft, a place on the west side of the map. Beating her gives you a Mythic Striker Burst Rifle and a Reveal Medallion that can show you where nearby enemies are.
    • Mysterio: Mysterio is in Doomstadt, located on the north side of the map. If you defeat him, you’ll get a Mythic Sovereign Shotgun and a Stealth Medallion, which makes you invisible for a short time when you crouch.

How to defeat Chapter 5 Season 4 Fortnite bosses

Now, onto the hard part, you will have to come up against these Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 bosses and take them down. There are three different bosses this season and they all require distinct battles to take them and get the rewards that are offered. Here is a closer look at how to defeat these bosses:

    Doombot

To face Doombot, players must go to the Throne Room in Castle Doom. This boss is tough, sitting on a throne inspired by The Thing from the Fantastic Four, which adds to the theme of the battle. Players need to be quick and precise to defeat Doombot. They should move fast in the Throne Room, dodging attacks and hitting the boss when possible. When Doombot is defeated, players get the Arcane Gauntlets, Siphon Medallion, and the Mythic Monarch Pistol. The Siphon Medallion is especially useful because it lets players gain health and shields from enemies they defeat.

    Mysterio

Players should head to Doomstadt to find and challenge Mysterio. He does not attack first, which gives players a chance to prepare. He moves around the area, sometimes warping from one place to another. Before starting the fight, players should collect weapons from nearby buildings.

When the battle begins, and after his shield breaks, Mysterio will disappear and reappear with two clones. These clones are weaker but can confuse players. It's important to quickly find and target the real Mysterio. Defeating him gives players Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion, which makes them temporarily invisible, the Mythic Sovereign Shotgun, and other loot.

    Emma Frost

Emma Frost is in The Raft and attacks players as soon as they engage her. Players should first gather powerful weapons from Dr. Doom and Avengers chests, usually found in the watchtowers. Once ready, they should approach the main building where Emma is. When players start shooting, Emma activates her Diamond Skin, making her immune to bullets for a while. Players should use explosives or specific weapons like Captain America’s shield to break her defense. After defeating Emma, players receive her Medallion, which reveals the location of nearby opponents, Flowberry Fizz, Gold Bars, and the Mythic Striker Burst Assault Rifle.
