The Darth Jar Jar skin in Fortnite is a playful nod to a popular fan theory that reimagines Jar Jar Binks as a Sith Lord. This theory gained traction after a 2015 Reddit post detailed how Jar Jar's clumsy antics could be a façade masking his true dark side nature. Even actor Ahmed Best, who portrayed Jar Jar, hinted at the possibility, stating, "Could Jar Jar have evolved into that? I think the answer is yes".

In Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 3: Galactic Battle, Darth Jar Jar is introduced as a playable skin. Players can choose between two edit styles: the original Jar Jar Binks and the Sith-inspired Darth Jar Jar, complete with a hooded cloak and Force Lightning abilities. This addition is part of a broader Star Wars crossover event, which includes other iconic characters and themed content.

To unlock the Darth Jar Jar skin, players need to progress through the Season 3 Battle Pass. As you level up, you'll earn various rewards, including the Darth Jar Jar skin at a specific tier (to be announced).

Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE kicks off a massive Star Wars crossover event on May 2, 2025, where players will face off in a battle to save the island from the Imperial invasion. Featuring locations like the First Order Base, Resistance Base, and Outpost Enclave, the event introduces Star Wars weapons like Lightsabers, blasters, and Thermal Imploders, along with iconic characters like Darth Vader, Leia, and Luke Skywalker. 

Players can wield powerful Force abilities like Force Push, Force Lightning, and Force Pull, and participate in large-scale battles using vehicles like TIE Fighters and X-Wings.

The event introduces blasters-only gameplay on day one, with special mythic weapons like Captain Phasma’s F-11D Blaster, and introduces new Star Wars-themed cosmetics such as Poe Dameron, Wookiee Team Leader, and Emperor Palpatine in the Battle Pass.

• May 8: Leia, Luke, and Han Solo join the fray, along with new lightsaber abilities.
