Rebirth Island is one of Warzone’s fastest maps. It has a layout that creates fights all around all the time, while Resurgence gives eliminated players a chance to return. If you want to learn how to play Rebisrth Island in Warzone, there are a couple of things you should know. You also need to understand when redeployment ends.

The current map has all of the familiar areas, such as Prison, Headquarters, Control Center, and Chemical Engineering. It also includes Turbine north of Prison and Outpost east of Stronghold. Here is everything you need to know about the map, including how to play in it!

Can you play Rebirth Island on Warzone?

Yes, Rebirth Island remains playable in Call of Duty: Warzone. It mainly appears in Resurgence, but it can also enter Ranked, casual, or limited-time playlists.
Playlist updates can change how the map appears. Some weeks give Rebirth Island its own tile, while others place it in a rotation with Fortune’s Keep or Haven’s Hollow.

The available squad size can also change. You may find Rebirth Island Solos during one update and Quads during another. Always read the playlist tile before you start matchmaking.

How to unlock Rebirth Island in Warzone

You do not need to complete a challenge, buy the Battle Pass, or reach a set account level. Install Warzone and download the required content files. Keep the game updated. And that’s pretty much it.

Warzone does place progression rules on weapons, rewards, and some competitive modes. Resurgence Ranked Play may have separate entry conditions, but those conditions apply to Ranked rather than the map.

The standard version of Rebirth Island becomes available whenever an active Warzone playlist includes it. There is no separate map pack or paid expansion.

How to select Rebirth Island in Warzone

Use these steps from the Call of Duty menu:

    1. Launch Call of Duty and enter Warzone.
    2. Open the Play or playlist screen.
    3. Check Resurgence and Featured modes.
    4. Choose a tile that lists Rebirth Island.
    5. Set Squad Fill based on your party.
    6. Start matchmaking.

Read the playlist description before entering. A rotation may switch between several maps, so Rebirth Island may not load in every match. Available squad sizes can change between Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads.

Loaded Resurgence Casual may use Rebirth Island when it returns to the Featured menu. That mode can change starting equipment or lobby rules, so do not assume it works exactly like standard Resurgence.

How does Rebirth Island Resurgence work?

Resurgence lets eliminated players return after a countdown as long as one squadmate stays alive. A full squad elimination ends the match. Free redeployment also closes during the final circles, which makes late-game deaths permanent.

The basic match flow is simple:

    • Land close to your squad and collect armor quickly.
    • Clear one area before chasing another fight.
    • Protect the last living teammate during redeployment.
    • Spend cash before nearby Buy Stations become unsafe.
    • Prepare for permanent eliminations near the end.

Rebirth Island does not use the normal Gulag loop in standard Resurgence. Its short travel distances also create frequent third-party attacks. Finish fights quickly. Replace your plates and move before another team reaches the area.

    Best Rebirth Island landing spots

New players should consider Outpost or the outer Stronghold buildings. These areas sit away from the central Prison fight and give squads more time to gather weapons.

Living Quarters and Chemical Engineering provide a balanced start. Both have several buildings and useful rotation routes. They also see less pressure than Prison.

Aggressive squads often land at Prison Roof, Headquarters, Control Center, or Bioweapons. These locations can produce fast eliminations, but a poor landing can remove the whole squad before anyone finds proper gear.

Turbine changes movement around the north side of Prison. Learn its cover and entrances before making it a regular drop point. Study the nearby paths as well.

Wherever you land, choose one repeatable route instead of changing locations every match. Map knowledge grows faster when you study the same area.

How to win more Rebirth Island matches

Strong teams do not push every sound they hear. They choose fights that support their next position.

    1. Land together and clear one building first.
    2. Use short callouts for roofs and stairways.
    3. Leave long fights before more squads arrive.
    4. Keep one player safe when teammates wait to return.
    5. Buy a UAV and armor early, then secure loadout weapons.
    6. Rotate before the gas forces an exposed crossing.
    7. Leave rooftops when enemies watch every exit.

Why is Rebirth Island not showing in Warzone?

Rebirth Island may disappear when the weekly playlist changes. The map may enter a rotation or appear under one squad size. Another limited-time mode may also replace it.

Restart Call of Duty and install pending updates. Then check both Resurgence and Featured. Read each tile carefully for rotation details. If several modes fail to load, check the game’s server status.

You cannot force an inactive map through a hidden menu. Play another available Resurgence map or check again after the next playlist update. The Fortune’s Keep Warzone guide can prepare you when that map replaces Rebirth Island.
