Fortnite x Squid Game collaboration announced by Epic Games
Yet another crossover in the Fortnite universe.Epic Games is bringing Squid Game to Fortnite. The announcement came during the State of Unreal 2025 event. There is a strong chance that this will be one of the biggest crossovers Fortnite has introduced this year. It will be available in Fortnite Creative and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Players will be able to build, play, and share their own Squid Game challenges. If you are looking for more information regarding this crossover, keep reading!
What is the Fortnite x Squid Game event about?
Epic Games is adding official Squid Game content to Fortnite. This content will let players and creators build games based on the Netflix series. The update includes tools and assets that match the show’s design. However, Epic shared only a few information and nothing more, so we are not sure what the team is actually planning.
As a guess, players will be able to create their own maps using these tools. They can design games like “Red Light, Green Light” or make new challenges inspired by the show. These maps will be part of Creative mode and UEFN. More information and details will be given soon by Epic Games either through the official portal or X. You can find Fortnite’s post on X below:
What to expect from the Fortnite Squid Game collaboration?
Players can expect a full set of Squid Game-themed tools. These tools will include objects, environments, and templates based on the show. Creators will use them to make new maps and game modes.
There may also be Squid Game skins. Fans are asking for the pink guards and green tracksuits to become available in the Item Shop. Epic has not confirmed this yet, but it is likely.
Epic may add a ranked or tournament mode as well. Squid Game is about survival and competition. Fortnite could use that idea to offer special events with V-Bucks or other prizes. When the Fortnite Competitive account reacted to the teaser, it made fans believe that a tournament might be part of the event.

Fortnite x Squid Game release date
The Fortnite x Squid Game crossover will launch on June 27, 2025. This is the same day as the Season 2 finale of Squid Game. The timing also fits Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 3 schedule.
On this date, the new Squid Game tools will be available in UEFN. Creators can start using them to build maps. This update will arrive mid-season, which is when Epic usually adds new content.
Epic has not said when Squid Game skins might come out. But based on past crossovers, skins usually arrive soon after the main event starts.
What else was announced at the Unreal Fest 2025?
