Mad Moxxi Fortnite skin bundle is now available

Epic Games has released the Mad Moxxi Bundle in Fortnite through a new Borderlands collaboration. This bundle celebrates one of the most popular characters in the Borderlands universe. Moxxi has a unique look and a strong fan base, which makes her a good fit for Fortnite's growing list of crossover skins.

This release comes after years of player requests. Since Moxxi never appeared in earlier Fortnite events, many fans kept asking for her. Now, players can finally use her in the game. The bundle gives her a fresh design while staying close to her original Borderlands style.

The skin also adds more variety to Fortnite’s locker options. It helps players stand out during matches and brings new energy to the game’s visual style. Fans of both franchises can enjoy seeing a familiar character in a new environment.

Fortnite has a strong history of collaborations with major brands and artists. For instance, past bundles included celebrities like Eminem and animated franchises like Adventure Time. 

What’s included in the bundle?

The Mad Moxxi Bundle includes three cosmetic items. Each one matches her character and fits well with Fortnite’s design style. Players can use the items across all game modes.

The bundle includes:

• Mad Moxxi Outfit: This is the main skin. It also includes a second style called Shader Off.
• Moxxi’s Tip Jar Back Bling: A back item designed to reflect her role as a bar owner in Borderlands.
• Underdome Megaphone Pickaxe: A pickaxe shaped like a megaphone, based on her position as the Underdome announcer.

All items follow the Borderlands theme. They work as a set, but players can also mix and match with other Fortnite items. The bundle does not include a loading screen or emote, and it is focused only on cosmetics.

How to get the Mad Moxx Fortnite skin

There are two ways to unlock the Mad Moxxi Bundle in Fortnite. One option gives early access through Borderlands 4. The other allows players to buy the bundle from the Fortnite Item Shop during a limited time.

Option 1: Early Access Through Borderlands 4#

You can unlock the full bundle early if you buy Borderlands 4 through the Epic Games Store.

Follow these steps:

• Buy Borderlands 4 on the Epic Games Store before September 12, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET.
• Use the same Epic Games account that you use to play Fortnite.
• Log in to Fortnite any time after July 29, 2025, at 5 am ET.
• The full bundle will be added automatically to your Fortnite Locker.
• If you play on console, make sure your Epic account is linked to your PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch.

This method gives players early access to the skin and rewards fans who plan to play Borderlands 4.

However, if you refund Borderlands 4 later, you will lose the Mad Moxxi Bundle in Fortnite. Epic will remove it from your Locker if the refund goes through.

Option 2: Buy It from the Fortnite Item Shop#

If you don’t want to buy Borderlands 4, you can still get the bundle from the Fortnite shop.

Here’s how:

• The bundle will appear in the Fortnite Item Shop on September 29, 2025, at 8 pm ET.
• It will remain available until October 6, 2025, at 8 pm ET.
• You can buy the full bundle or just individual items using V-Bucks.
• If you later buy Borderlands 4 before the 2026 deadline, Epic will refund V Bucks for the items you already bought, as long as you purchased them within 90 days.

This option gives you more flexibility. You can choose to unlock only part of the bundle or wait until you’re ready to buy the full set. Remember, Mad Moxxi might become one of the rarest Fortnite skins as it is available for a limited time only!
