Chaos Cubed is Minecraft's second game drop of 2026, released on June 16, 2026 as Java Edition 26.2 and Bedrock Edition 26.30. Instead of introducing dozens of unrelated features, Chaos Cubed focuses on one major theme: bringing more life, creativity, and experimentation to caves with a brand-new biome, a unique mob, colorful building blocks, and interactive world mechanics.

Alongside the update, Mojang also launched a limited-time Community Challenge: Chaos Spreads, encouraging players to explore Sulfur Caves, experiment with Sulfur Spikes, and share their creations with the wider Minecraft community. During the event, players contribute to a global goal by engaging with Chaos Cubed features, unlocking rewards and celebrating the creativity of the community as chaos spreads across worlds.

If you're wondering what's new in the Chaos Cubed update, here's everything you need to know.

    Is Chaos Cubed worth playing?

If you enjoy discovering new mechanics instead of rushing to the End, Chaos Cubed is absolutely worth playing.
