Best Sakin MG38 loadout
LMGs may not be as hot a choice as an always reliable assault rifle that keeps you light on your toes, but when you need to mow down entire enemy squads at distance, they’re unbeatable. Few LMGs do it better than the Sakin MG38.
This B-tier gun may never dominate the meta like the Lachmann Sub or the BAS-P, but with the right build, the Sakin MG38 can and will be a force to be reckoned with. All you need is a prime loadout to kit this bad boy out before battle.
And that’s where we come in…
How do you unlock the Sakin MG38?
Hang onto your hats, because this might get complex… to unlock the Sakin MG38, you have to do… absolutely nothing.
Yep, we think we’re really funny too.
As soon as you load up Warzone, you’ll have access to the Sakin MG38, which just makes this heavy-hitting LMG all the more delicious as far as we’re concerned!
That said, you will have to reach level 4 before you unlock the Gunsmith feature and can start building the best loadout for the Sakin, so there’s a little bit of grinding to be done if you’re brand spankin’ new to Warzone.

Stick with a build like this and you’ll nicely tame the wild recoil of the Sakin MG38, and crank up the damage range and bullet speed, too. And believe us, the increased aiming stability and ADS speed you’ll get from the FSS OLE-V Laser is not to be scoffed at!
As always, the optics are more personal preference than anything, but the Aim-OP V4 never fails in the eyes of most Warzone vets.
All in all, this Sakin build strips this LMG of most of its weaknesses, and turns it into an absolute long-range demon sure to fill your enemies with as much dread as lead. She’ll never be a run-and-gun type weapon, but a loadout like this will still give the Sakin MG38 what she needs to compete with top choices in the meta.
If you find the Sakin still has too much kick with this build, consider replacing the laser with a rear grip like the STIP-40. You’ll lose some sharpness to your aim, but might find the tradeoff is worthwhile.
As always, the best build is one that suits your play style.
The Sakin MG38 can also enjoy the fabled 150-Round Mag attachment if you level it up to level 15, and it’s worth at least trying out when you get it (unless you’re already a god-tier gamer with this LMG by then!).
Perks and equipment
You’re definitely going to need Overkill with any Sakin build, thanks to the gun’s hefty bulk turning you into a total snail. Pick a second primary like the Lachmann Sub, BAS-P, or Fennec 45 – anything you can be nimble with, will do.
Since you’ll likely be sitting back when rocking the Sakin MG38, we’d suggest Strong Arm as your second perk in the build – that way, you can still make solid use of your throwables. Meanwhile, Spotter and Survivor will help you maximize your killstreaks.
You’re welcome.
