Fortnite Overwatch collab explained
The Fortnite Overwatch collab is a major crossover event between Fortnite and Overwatch. Epic Games introduced several Overwatch heroes into Fortnite as playable cosmetics while also adding Overwatch-themed content across the game.
The collaboration became part of Fortnite’s seasonal storyline under the title “Answer the Call,” a direct reference to Overwatch’s famous slogan.
Unlike smaller crossover events, this update includes:
- Overwatch skins
- Fortnite Overwatch bundles
- Hero-themed cosmetics
- New quests
- Special POIs (Points of Interest)
- Overwatch-inspired weapons and mechanics

The event officially launched on May 14, 2026.

The official Fortnite Overwatch Bundle is priced at 4,200 V-Bucks, discounted from the original combined value of 8,800 V-Bucks, giving players a total savings of 4,600 V-Bucks. According to the Fortnite Item Shop listing, the bundle remains available until June 9, 2026.
The bundle includes four Overwatch hero skins:
- Mercy
- D.Va

- Genji
Each hero comes with matching cosmetics inspired by their original Overwatch designs.

How to get the Pulse Rifle in Fortnite
Alongside the cosmetics included in the Fortnite Overwatch Bundle, Epic Games also added several gameplay items tied to the crossover event, including the powerful Overdrive Pulse Rifle. Players can find the Pulse Rifle through:
- Floor loot
- Rare chests
- Overwatch-themed POIs
- Special event supply drops

The weapon has a higher spawn rate inside Overwatch event areas like King’s Row.
Fortnite Overwatch quests
The Fortnite Overwatch quests are one of the biggest parts of the crossover event. Instead of adding only skins and cosmetics, Epic Games introduced a full set of hero-themed challenges based on Overwatch characters and abilities. Each questline focuses on the playstyle of a specific hero, making the event feel much closer to an actual Overwatch experience inside Fortnite.
All Fortnite Overwatch cache locations
The Fortnite Overwatch caches are special loot containers added during the Fortnite x Overwatch crossover event in Chapter 7 Season 2. These caches contain exclusive Overwatch-themed loot, including:
- Overwatch Pulse Pistols
- Overwatch Caduceus Staff
- Healing items
- Shield consumables
- Event weapons
There are currently 27 Fortnite Overwatch cache locations spread across the island. Most caches are found near Overwatch-themed POIs, Dropships, Watchpoints, and crossover landmarks.

The Fortnite Overwatch collaboration delivers much more than simple cosmetics. With skins, items, bundles, quests, weapons, and map locations, the event feels like a full celebration of Overwatch inside Fortnite.
Whether you want the Fortnite Overwatch Mega Bundle, individual hero skins like Genji or Mercy, or exclusive event items, this crossover has become one of Fortnite’s most ambitious gaming events yet.
