Fortnite Shadow Briefings are special missions you can accept during a match. They give you objectives like digging up loot, opening supply drops, or completing combat tasks. Finishing them helps you complete weekly quests and earn XP fast.

This guide covers where to find Shadow Briefings, how to start them, and how to complete each type.

What are Shadow Briefings in Fortnite?

Shadow Briefings are interactive terminals placed across the Fortnite island that offer timed mini-missions. They look like job boards and are marked on your map and minimap with a small white notebook icon when you get nearby.

They also give loot, XP, or advantages, but you have to find them first.

Fortnite Shadow Briefings locations: Where to find them?

Shadow Briefings can spawn (70%) at specific locations across the island. They are more common in the southern half of the map, but can also be found at minor points of interest and even gas stations.

    • Cosmic Durr (restaurant near Classified Canyon)
    • Ripped Tides

When you approach a briefing terminal, you’ll see the white notebook icon on your minimap and main screen.
