Fortnite C7S3 has arrived with a full of surprises! Officially titled Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners, the season launched on June 6, 2026, introducing a completely new island, permanent Sprite progression, extraction mechanics, new weapons, bosses, mobility items, Battle Pass rewards, and major gameplay changes.

Unlike previous Fortnite seasons, Fortnite C7S3 introduces progression systems that continue beyond individual matches. Players can now collect and permanently unlock Sprites, upgrade them over time, and use them in future games. Combined with a brand-new map and several unique mechanics, Fortnite C7S3 feels very different from previous chapters.

This guide covers everything new in Fortnite C7S3 and what players should know before jumping into the season.

    Fortnite C7S3 release date

    • Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 officially launched on: June 6, 2026
    • The season is currently expected to run until: August 19, 2026

That gives players roughly two and a half months to complete the Battle Pass, collect Sprites, and experience all seasonal content.

    Fortnite C7S3 focuses heavily on:

    • Fast movement
    • Exploration
    • Sprite collection
    • Extraction gameplay
    • Long-term progression
    • High-mobility combat

Epic designed the season around constant movement and rewarding players who explore the island instead of staying in one location.

New Fortnite C7S3 map: Shattered Coast

One of the biggest changes in Fortnite C7S3 is the arrival of an entirely new island. The previous island has been replaced by Shattered Coast, a redesigned map created after the events of the Shattered storyline.

    New POIs in Fortnite C7S3

Several new locations have been added across the island.

    • Calamari Canyon
    • Chopped Shop
    • Cluster Coast
    • Frosted Flats
    • Golden Grove
    • Heatwave Harbor
    • Lifty Lodge
    • Shaken Sanctuary
    • Sinister Strip
    • Sunken Shores
    • The Battlewoods

Many of these areas contain unique loot, bosses, Sprite spawns, and seasonal challenges.

Exploring these locations early can help players learn the map faster and discover valuable loot routes.

    Fortnite C7S3 Sprites Explained

Sprites return in Fortnite C7S3, but they now work very differently than previous versions.

Instead of being temporary match bonuses, Sprites are now collectible companions that can permanently join your account.

    Players can:

    • Find Sprites during matches
    • Extract them successfully
    • Add them to their collection
    • Upgrade them
    • Summon them in future matches

This creates a progression system that extends beyond a single game.

    New Extraction System

Fortnite C7S3 introduces an extraction mechanic for the first time.

To permanently unlock a Sprite, players must:

    1. Find a Sprite during a match.
    2. Carry it to an extraction zone.
    3. Defend the extraction point.
    4. Survive until extraction is complete.
    5. Successfully leave with the Sprite.

Once extracted, the Sprite becomes part of your permanent collection.

This feature adds risk versus reward gameplay that hasn't existed in Fortnite before.

    • Remaining inside the Top 500 Unreal leaderboard

This is currently the highest competitive rank in Fortnite.

    Bus Exfil System (Coming later)

Epic has also announced the upcoming Bus Exfil feature.

    When Bus Exfil launches:

    • The Battle Bus can return during a match.
    • Players can board it.
    • At least one teammate must reach the extraction location.
    • Multiple teams may successfully extract.

This creates a brand-new victory condition outside of Victory Royales.

What should you do first in Fortnite C7S3?

    New players should focus on:

    1. Exploring Shattered Coast.
    2. Learning Sprite locations.
    3. Extracting their first Sprite.
    4. Testing the new weapons.
    5. Finding Power Boots.
    6. Defeating bosses.
    7. Unlocking Battle Pass rewards.
    8. Learning the new movement mechanics.

These activities help you understand the season's core systems much faster.

    Is Fortnite C7S3 worth playing?
