Log in and claim free cosmeticsEpic Games is officially launching Fortnite Community Day, a new event focused entirely on celebrating Fortnite players with free rewards, community voting, returning cosmetics, and special gameplay modifiers. Unlike competitive tournaments or major live story events, Fortnite Community Day is designed to reward players simply for participating.
The event arrives near the end of Chapter 7 Season 2 and already has the community excited thanks to free cosmetics, the return of Indigo Kuno, and the release of a long-unreleased Marvel wrap.
Here is everything you need to know about Fortnite Community Day, including the official date, all confirmed rewards, gameplay changes, and how to unlock every item for free.
What is Fortnite Community Day?
Fortnite Community Day is a limited-time Fortnite event created to celebrate the game’s player base. Epic Games describes it as a community-focused experience featuring:
- Free rewards
- Gameplay modifiers
- Community voting
- Returning cosmetics
- Social and creator-focused content
Unlike Fortnite live events that focus on story progression, Fortnite Community Day is centered around player participation and fun gameplay experiences.
The event is expected to become a recurring Fortnite tradition in future seasons.

Fortnite Community Day gameplay changes
Fortnite Community Day also introduces special gameplay modifiers chosen directly by the community.
Epic Games allowed players to vote between several gameplay combinations, and the winner was: Finger Guns + Bigger Pizza Slice Stack Size
Meanwhile, the Bigger Pizza Slice Stack Size modifier allows players to carry more Slapperoni Pizza slices, improving team healing, inventory management, and squad survivability during matches.
Epic Games selected these modifiers to make Fortnite Community Day feel more casual, entertaining, and community-focused rather than highly competitive.
This modifier combination will be active throughout Fortnite Community Day.
Indigo Kuno returns during Fortnite Community Day
Fortnite Community Day also marks the return of Indigo Kuno in the Item Shop.
Availability:
- Starts: May 29 at 8:00 PM ET
- Ends: May 31 at 8:00 PM ET
Because Indigo Kuno is considered a rare cosmetic, many collectors are expected to purchase the skin during the event window.

Fortnite Community Day is shaping up to be one of the most player-friendly events Epic Games has released in recent seasons. With free rewards, community-voted gameplay changes, returning cosmetics like Indigo Kuno, and easy login-based unlocks, the event gives both casual players and longtime collectors plenty of reasons to jump in.
Since most rewards only require players to log in during the 24-hour event window, Fortnite Community Day could easily become one of the biggest free cosmetic events in Fortnite history.
