Fortnite has built a tradition around Halloween. Every year, Epic Games launches Fortnitemares to bring new cosmetics and fun content with the Halloween theme. In 2025, Fortnitemares looks set to be bigger than ever. Dataminers have already uncovered details about new skins, Mythic items, and special bundles. Epic Games has not confirmed the leaks, but they follow the same pattern as previous years. Here are all of the Fortnite 2025 Halloween leaks!

All of the leaked Fortnite Halloween 2025 skins

Dataminers have revealed several major collaborations for Fortnitemares 2025. Each brings its own cosmetics and skins. Here is a closer look at what we have so far:

Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th

Jason Voorhees, the hockey mask-wearing killer from the Friday the 13th films, is expected to arrive this Halloween, just as the 2022 event featured Ash Williams. Files from the 37.10 update revealed a Jason Medallion, which usually means he will appear as a boss on the island. Beating bosses in Fortnite often gives players special items, so the medallion may grant stealth powers to match Jason’s style. A full Jason skin and his machete pickaxe are also very likely to be released.

    Ghostface from Scream

Ghostface is another horror icon linked to the event. Leaks revealed a Mythic item that turns players into Ghostface. It will let players stalk enemies, perform jumpscare attacks, and use two special abilities. However, the Mythic will also slow down movement at times, making it risky to use. Ghostface will also have a skin, which will most likely be available in the shop.

    Scooby-Doo bundle with Shaggy

Another major crossover is Scooby-Doo. Leakers said that Shaggy will join Fortnite with multiple skins or styles. Reports also point to a Scooby-Doo bundle that could include other members of the Mystery Gang. Scooby himself might appear as back bling, and extras like a Mystery Machine glider or themed music could also be added. This crossover adds a lighter tone to balance the darker horror characters.

    Other returning characters

Fortnitemares often brings back older collaborations as well. Past years have included Michael Myers, Leatherface, and Billy the Puppet. These skins may return to the item shop along with the new releases, giving players a chance to unlock missed content.

In total, the leaked list so far includes:

    • Jason Voorhees skin and medallion item
    • Ghostface skin and Mythic weapon
    • Scooby-Doo bundle with Shaggy and possible Mystery Gang members

    Fortnite Halloweed 2025 event date

Epic Games has not shared an official date yet, but past events give a clear idea of the timing. Fortnitemares usually starts in mid-October and lasts until early November.

In 2024, the event began on October 12 and ended on November 2. This year, leaks point to October 15, 2025, as a possible start date. If correct, the event would run for about three weeks, covering Halloween and giving players plenty of time to complete quests and collect rewards.

Even if the date shifts slightly, mid-October is the safest bet. Epic will confirm the launch closer to the event, but players can already prepare for that timeframe.

What to expect from the event?

Fortnitemares is more than just skins. It changes the entire game environment with new mechanics, decorations, and quests. Leaks and past events suggest several features to expect this year.

    • Map updates: The island will likely get covered in fog and haunted decorations. Points of Interest may transform into darker, creepier versions to fit the Halloween theme.
    • Mythic items: Ghostface’s Mythic is confirmed in leaks, and more themed weapons could arrive. Items like Leatherface’s Chainsaw or last year’s Boom Billys may also return.
    • Boss battles: Jason Voorhees could appear as an NPC boss. If so, defeating him might unlock his medallion or other unique items.
    • Event quests: Players can expect a set of Halloween quests with free rewards such as sprays, back blings, and loading screens. These quests are often simple but give extra reasons to log in daily.
    • Crossover content: The Scooby-Doo bundle is likely to come with fun extras, and other surprise collaborations may appear during the event.

Like Winterfest, Fortnitemares has become a key part of Fortnite’s yearly calendar. The 2025 edition looks ready to be one of the strongest yet.

I started writing here in 2021, but my first gig was back in 2018. That was when I realized people actually get paid to write about games. I’ve written thousands of articles for different media outlets, led teams, and conducted interviews with players.

When I’m not behind the keyboard, I’m watching Galatasaray, following the NBA, or pretending I’m still good at basketball. I also work full-time at AnyDesk, writing serious things in not-so-serious ways.
