Fortnite adds new things in every season or chapter, and it surely keeps the excitement at a certain level. This way, players spend their time trying to figure out how to take advantage of these add-ons and possibly improve their inventories. Timber Pines can be categorized as one of these add-ons in Fortnite, and in this guide, we will explain everything you need to know about these trees.

    What is Timber Pine?

Timber Pines are these huge trees in Fortnite that are way bigger and stronger than the usual ones you see. They've changed the game in a fun way because when you hit them with your tool, they don't just disappear. Instead, they fall over and become this big log. This log can roll over and hurt anything in its path. It's a new part of the game that makes things a bit more interesting. Imagine a giant tree rolling towards you or your enemies – you've got to watch out!

Where to find Timber Pine in Fortnite?

If you're looking to find these giant trees, they're not just scattered everywhere. They like certain areas, especially the "autumn" and "spring" parts of the map. These areas go under names like The Citadel, Anvil Square, and a bunch of others. If you really want to find lots of these trees, head to places like Cedar Circle and The Autumnwood. These spots are known for having loads of timber pines, so you won't miss them.

You can visit these places and see if you can find Pine Trees there. Please be reminded that these trees are a little different from the ones you usually see on the map. An image of a Pine Tree is below. So when you go to these places on the map, try to look for trees that look like the one below. If you are not sure how to take these trees down, keep reading, because the next part will explain everything you need to know.

How to knock down a Timber Pine in Fortnite

Taking down a timber pine is easy, but you've got to be careful. You can use your pickaxe, shoot at them, or even use explosives. But remember, when these trees fall, they can hurt anything in their way, including you. So, if a tree is about to fall, make sure you're not in its path. If the tree is on a slope, it will roll down, which can be useful if you want it to knock down other trees or even hit your enemies. Here are a couple of different ways to take down a Timber Pine in Fortnite:

    Method

    How It Works

    Pickaxe

Walk up and swing your pickaxe at the tree.

    Shooting / Explosives

Shoot the tree or use explosives from a distance.

    Ripsaw Launcher

Fire a direct hit at the tree using the Ripsaw Launcher.

    Using a Pickaxe

The most straightforward method is using your pickaxe. Just walk up to a timber pine and start swinging. It’s easy and quiet, keeping you under the radar. But remember, when the tree falls, it can hurt you too, so make sure to step aside quickly.

    Shooting or Explosives

If you're not close enough to use a pickaxe or you want to stay a bit further away, shooting the tree or using explosives is another option. This method is louder and can attract attention from other players, so use it wisely. Like the pickaxe, once the tree starts to fall, move out of the way to avoid getting hit.

    Using the Ripsaw Launcher

For players focusing on challenges involving timber pines, the Ripsaw Launcher is a specialized tool. Found at the Chop Shop north of Logjam Lotus, this weapon can knock down a timber pine with a direct hit. It's a fun way to bring down the trees but remember, this method can also draw attention to your location because of the noise.

Star Wars Events: The Force or Lightsaber

During the Star Wars events, Fortnite introduced unique ways to interact with the environment, including knocking down timber pines. Players could use the Force or a lightsaber, obtained through specific in-game actions, to knock down the trees. This method was quiet and efficient, allowing for a single-hit takedown. It added an exciting twist to the game, blending the Fortnite universe with the iconic Star Wars saga.

Each method of knocking down timber pines in Fortnite offers its advantages and challenges. Whether you’re going for stealth with a pickaxe, keeping distance with shooting or explosives, seeking efficiency with the Ripsaw Launcher, or enjoying the novelty of Star Wars powers, there’s a strategy for every player. Remember, regardless of the method you choose, always be aware of your surroundings to avoid getting hit by the falling tree. T

Timber pines have added an interesting new layer to Fortnite's gameplay. Knowing where to find them and how to either use them to your advantage or avoid getting squashed by them is crucial. They can be used as a weapon or just be something you need to be aware of.

I started writing here in 2021, but my first gig was back in 2018. That was when I realized people actually get paid to write about games. I’ve written thousands of articles for different media outlets, led teams, and conducted interviews with players.

When I’m not behind the keyboard, I’m watching Galatasaray, following the NBA, or pretending I’m still good at basketball. I also work full-time at AnyDesk, writing serious things in not-so-serious ways.
