Cube Sprites are Special Sprite variants introduced in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Each Cube Sprite inherits the ability of its base Sprite while also granting an exclusive Overdrive bonus whenever you're inside the Storm.

Although Cube Sprites can appear through Fortnite's normal loot system, several variants also have unique spawn methods and locations that make them easier to target.

    What are Fortnite Cube Sprites?

Fortnite Cube Sprites are enhanced versions of existing Sprites.

Every Cube Sprite keeps the primary ability of its normal counterpart but also activates Overdrive while you're taking Storm damage.

    Overdrive grants:

    • Increased sprint speed
    • Higher jump height

This makes Cube Sprites especially useful for escaping the Storm, rotating during late-game circles, or deliberately staying in the Storm while searching for additional loot.

How to get Cube Sprites in Fortnite

The most reliable source of Cube Sprites is Sprite Chests, but they aren't the only way to obtain them.

    Current methods include:

    • Sprite Chests (highest overall chance)
    • Standard Chests
    • Rare Chests
    • Cluster Found Quests
    • Sprite Locator Gizmos
    • Lucky Locator Gizmos
    • Eliminating players carrying Cube Sprites
    • Trading with another player (where supported)

Because Cube Sprites belong to Fortnite's Special Sprite pool, none of these methods guarantees a particular variant. Which Sprite you receive is still determined by the game's random loot system.

All Fortnite Cube Sprites & how to find them fast

Some Cube Sprites simply appear through random loot, while others have preferred farming methods or locations.

    How to Get

    Cube Earth Sprite

Open Sprite Chests and regular Chests in forested locations.

    Cube Fire Sprite

    Farm Sprite Chests in cities

    Cube Fishy Sprite

Fish after looting nearby Sprite Chests

    Cluster Coast

Loot the Sprite Chests around Cluster Coast, then head to the pier and fish at the numerous Fishing Spots. This is considered the best farming method, although the drop rate is still fairly low.

    Cube Dream Sprite

Open the hidden Battlewoods storage room

    Battlewoods

Collect 500 Gold Bars, then press the red button to open the hidden storage room. The Cube Dream Sprite shares the same spawn location as the normal Dream Sprite, but it isn't guaranteed to appear.

    Cube Punk Sprite

    Farm Sprite Chests

    Various locations

Obtain from Sprite Chests and regular Chests through the random loot pool.

    Cube Boss Sprite

    How rare are Cube Sprites?

Cube Sprites are among the rarest Sprite variants in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, but Epic Games hasn't revealed their official drop rates. As part of the game's Special Sprite pool, they appear much less frequently than standard Sprites and rely heavily on RNG, even when farming the best sources such as Sprite Chests, Rare Chests, and Cluster Found Quests.

Some variants are even more difficult to get because they require specific activities, such as defeating bosses or visiting unique locations like Battlewoods, making targeted farming routes the most effective way to complete your Cube Sprite collection.

How to unlock Cube Sprites permanently

Finding a Cube Sprite during a match doesn't automatically add it to your collection.

    To unlock it permanently:

    1. Pick up the Cube Sprite.
    2. Travel to an Extraction Site or use a Portable Extractor.
    3. Complete the extraction before being eliminated.

After a successful extraction, the Sprite becomes permanently available in your collection.

Farm Sprite Chests first, they're your best bet for any Cube Sprite. If you're targeting specific variants, fish at Cluster Coast for Cube Fishy, unlock the Battlewoods storage room for Cube Dream, duel Harley Quinn for Cube Batman, and farm bosses like Skeletor for Cube Boss. Cube Sprites are among the rarest collectibles in Chapter 7 Season 3, so targeted farming beats opening random chests every time.
