You can get the Ironmouse Sprite in Fortnite by opening Relic Chests, picking up the Mythic Sprite when it appears, and successfully extracting it so it is added to your Sprite Collection. The Ironmouse Sprite does not have a guaranteed spawn, so expect to search several chests or repeat the route across multiple matches.

Ironmouse was temporarily vaulted after appearing earlier than intended, but Epic Games has since restored the Sprite and fixed the related extraction and empty-chest issues.

What does the Ironmouse Sprite do?

Its ability regenerates health when your health is low. While the regeneration is active, it also grants Cloak and low gravity, combining recovery with a chance to escape or reposition.

Where to find the Ironmouse Sprite: Location

Relic Chests are the primary place to look for the Ironmouse Sprite. These are the special containers tied to Fortnite’s Sprite system, not ordinary weapon chests. Search points of interest with several known Relic Chest spawns so you can make multiple attempts in one match.

    Is Ironmouse Sprite rare?

The Ironmouse Sprite is Mythic rarity. Independent sources report an approximately 2.14% appearance rate, but Epic Games has not published that percentage on its support page. Treat it as a community-reported estimate rather than a guaranteed rate.

How to unlock the Ironmouse Sprite in 5 steps

    1. Enter a Sprite-enabled match (Battle Royale with Sprites active).
    2. Search Relic Chests quickly across multiple locations.
    3. Pick up the Ironmouse Sprite when it drops (or loot it from an eliminated player).
    4. Extract the Sprite using an extraction point or a Portable Extractor to save it to your account.
    5. Confirm in the lobby that Ironmouse is registered in your Sprite Collection.

Best way to farm Ironmouse Sprite

Prioritize a repeatable route with several Relic Chests close together. Land directly on the first chest, open it, and move immediately to the next location. A vehicle or mobility item can save more time than searching every normal chest in a point of interest.

If another player reaches the route first, either contest the chest or rotate away. Entering a new match is often faster than searching an area that has already been cleared. The goal is to maximize the number of Relic Chests opened per minute, not to survive until the final circle on every attempt.

Temporary Sprite events can increase rare drop rates, but Ironmouse’s launch boost has ended. You can still find the Sprite through the normal loot pool; it may simply take more attempts.

Why did I not receive the Ironmouse Sprite?

Epic Games previously confirmed two linked problems: some players did not receive Ironmouse after extracting it, and some Sprite Chests opened with no reward. Epic’s support page now marks both issues as resolved.

Players affected during the incident were scheduled to receive Ironmouse automatically. If you extracted one after the fix and it still does not appear, restart Fortnite and check the Collection again. If it remains missing, submit an in-game bug report instead of spending additional Portable Extractors on repeated attempts.
