Fortnite Mastery Monday guide: Schedule, bonuses & more
Double your Sprite progress MondayFortnite Mastery Monday is a weekly 24-hour Sprite progression event. It begins every Monday at 9:00 a.m. ET (6:00 a.m. PT) and normally ends at the same time on Tuesday. During the event, Legendary and Mythic Sprites appear more often, Sprites level up twice as fast, and successful extractions award double Sprite Dust.

What is Mastery Monday in Fortnite?
Mastery Monday is a recurring event in Fortnite’s Runners season designed to shorten the Sprite collection and mastery grind. It does not replace the normal Battle Royale loop. Instead, Epic activates server-side bonuses that improve three parts of Sprite progression: finding high-rarity Sprites, leveling equipped Sprites, and earning Dust from extraction.

The event is most valuable if you still need Legendary or Mythic discoveries, have Sprites below Level 5, or need Dust to summon and upgrade Sprites already recorded in your collection.
Does Mastery Monday happen every week?
Epic describes it as a Monday event during the Runners season. Live-service schedules can change, so verify the in-game announcement each week.
Mastery Monday schedule and start time
The standard window is Monday at 9:00 a.m. ET through Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. ET. That is a continuous 24-hour event. Regional start and end times:
Epic can adjust live events, so confirm the active modifiers in the lobby or Fortnite’s official social channels before planning a long farming session.

Best Mastery Monday farming strategy
- Pick a goal: Hunt rare Sprites, reach Level 5, or farm Sprite Dust.
- Equip an unfinished Sprite: Use the 2x leveling boost on one below Level 5.
- Land near multiple Sprite Chests: More chests mean more chances for Legendary and Mythic Sprites.
- Plan your extraction: Grab a Portable Extractor or locate a fixed Extraction Site early.
- Extract valuable Sprites: Secure rare finds and duplicates for double Sprite Dust.
- Run it back: Short chest-and-extraction runs are usually the fastest farming method.
What should you prioritize?
Prioritize tasks in this order:
- A Legendary or Mythic Sprite you have never extracted
- An equipped Sprite close to Level 5
- A duplicate Sprite that can be extracted for double Dust
- Ordinary matches with no clear Sprite objective

A new high-rarity collection entry is difficult to replace. Mastery progress is reliable because of the doubled leveling rate, while Dust can be farmed repeatedly as long as you complete extractions.
Don’t make these 6 mistakes
- Waiting too long to extract: A rare Sprite provides no collection credit or Dust if you are eliminated before securing it.
- Using a mastered Sprite: Leveling bonuses are wasted if the equipped Sprite no longer needs progress.
- Confusing Sprite XP with account XP: Mastery Monday accelerates Sprite levels, not all Battle Pass progression.
- Trusting exact fan-made drop rates: Epic confirms boosted Legendary and Mythic appearances but does not publish complete event odds.
- Assuming Portable Extractors are guaranteed: Availability can depend on the current event rotation, quests, loot pool, or balance changes.
- Missing the Tuesday cutoff: The bonuses end after 24 hours, even if your local calendar still makes the timing feel like Monday night.
How to tell whether Mastery Monday is active
Check the lobby’s news or event panel before queueing. You can also inspect the current quests for Mastery Monday objectives or Portable Extractor rewards. If the event should be live but the modifiers do not appear, return to the lobby, restart Fortnite, and check Epic’s official status and social channels for a delay or temporary change.

What are the other weekly Sprite events?
Mastery Monday is one part of Fortnite’s weekly Sprite schedule during the Runners season. Every Thursday introduces a new Sprite or special variant, while Saturday’s Power Hours feature refreshed gameplay modifiers and chances to grab variants missing from your collection. The featured Sprites and modifiers can change each week, so check Fortnite’s announcements before jumping in.
Is Monday the best day to master Sprites?
Mastery Monday is easily the best weekly window for grinding Sprites in Fortnite. The boosted Legendary and Mythic appearances, double leveling speed, and extra Sprite Dust make every good run more rewarding.
Before queueing, equip a Sprite below Level 5 and choose whether you’re hunting rare discoveries, mastery progress, or Dust. Land on a chest-heavy route, plan your extraction early, and don’t risk a valuable Sprite for one more fight. The event only lasts 24 hours, so keep your runs focused, extract often, and switch Sprites as soon as you complete their mastery.
