Everything You Need to Know About Evelynn in League of Legends

The seductress has been on the Rift since pretty much the very beginning of League of Legends, but since her rework, she spiked in popularity, and whilst this was a while ago now a lot of people still don't know how to play her!

Evelynn’s abilities in League of Legends
Passive: Demon Shade

Evelynn is able to shroud herself in Demon Shade after not performing an action that will break her stealth for four seconds prior. This includes attacking or casting abilities which place Demon Shade on a four-second cooldown, which is reduced to 1.25 seconds if she has casted her ultimate ability instead.
While she's in Demon Shade and below between 250 and 590 HP - which also scales with 250% of her AP - Evelynn heals herself for between 15 and 150 hp every second. After Evelynn has hit level 6 while she's in demon shade she also gets camouflage.
Q: Hate Spike

Evelynn launches is a projectile in the target direction which deals 45 magic damage plus 30% of her AP. Hate Spike deals 45 magic damage plus 30% AP: cost: Initial cast of Hate Spike deals 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 (+30% of ability power) magic damage/
Evelynn's next three basic attacks or abilities against the marked target deal bonus magic damage of up to 55 plus 25% of her AP.
Evelynn can also cast her Q, Hate Spike up to three times after the initial cast, for zero mana cost until the ability comes off cooldown.
With this recast, Evelynn unleashes a directional line of spikes that go towards the nearest visible enemy dealing 45 magic damage plus 30% of her AP. These spikes also prioritize targeting the marked target from the initial projectile of her Q.
If the marked target is no longer alive or in range than the spikes were target the nearest enemy champion, then the nearest non-champion.
W: Allure

Evelynn plants a charm mark on the target enemy champion on Monster for five seconds, which can be popped after 2.5 seconds. After Evelynn pops the charm, the next ability against the target charms them for up to 2.25 seconds, and slows them by 65% for the same period of time
When Evelynn pops the charm this will refund to full mana cost of her W, and when she pops the charm, enemy champions will have up to 45% magic resistance reduction for 4 seconds.
Casting Allure does not break Demon Shade.
E: Whiplash

Evelynn launches herself at the target enemy dealing magic damage and applying on hit effects. This damage is up to 115 AP plus 3% of the target's maximum health, plus an additional 1.5% per 100 AP that Evelynn has.
Whiplash grants 30% bonus movement speed for 2 seconds: speed: Evelynn gains 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% movement speed for 2 seconds.
Evelynn’s empowered Whiplash does increase damage to the enemy target as well as enemies in her way. This will instead do up to 175 magic damage, plus 4% of the target's maximum health, plus an additional 2.5% per 100 AP that Evelynn has.
R: Last Caress

Evelynn leaps forward in a cone in front of her, becoming briefly untargetable, which deals magic damage and a large AOEcone after 0.5 seconds, she blinks backwards in the opposite direction and becomes targetable again.
This does 110% increased damage to enemies below 30% of their maximum health so it's essentially an executing ability! On targets she can't execute this does 375 magic damage plus 75% of her AP.
the executing damage does up to 900 AP scaling with 180% of Evelynn’s AP.
When was Evelynn released in League of Legends?

Evelynn has been in League of Legends for over 14 years now, in fact she is so old that the Patch then was called May 1, 2009 which is the day the Evelynn was released onto the Rift.
She was also released alongside Twitch and Tryndamere and Tristana got her remake. Evelynn's rework herself came out and patch 7.20 which was released on October 11, 2017.
Where is Evelynn from in League of Legends?

We actually know very little about where Evelynn came from, but we know due to her age that she's from Runeterra in the Ancient Times, and all of this comes from the fact that she's actually a demon!

Evelynn's voice actress pre-rework was an actress called Brett Pels, who also voices Syndra in League of Legends.
What race is Evelynn?
Evelynn is not human. She is a demon in the world of Runeterra. She was born from pain and suffering during the Rune Wars. That pain gave her life and shaped her form.
She does not belong to any human race or region. She can change her shape, but she usually chooses to look like a woman. Even though she looks human, she is a creature of pure darkness. Her race is demon, and she uses her form to trick and hunt people.
