Darius is one of the most popular Top Lane champions in League of Legends, and with a relatively simple and easy to grasp kit, Darius is a very good pick if you are looking to rank up in the Top Lane.

The Noxian nightmare has a relatively low skill ceiling, but that does not mean he is any less capable of getting a 1v5 pentakill, especially with his passive at max stacks, and his ultimate ability, dealing thousands of damage in True Damage!

So here is everything you need to know about Darius in League of Legends, from his abilities, to his lore, and even the champion's release date, so you can dunk on enemies left, right, and center!

    Passive: Hemorrhage

Whenever Darius damages an enemy with an ability or an auto attack, he applies a stack of Hemorrhage for 5 seconds, which can stack up to 5 times, but the stack duration refreshes on every new stack that is applied.

For every stack of Hemorrhage than an enemy champion has on them, they take between 13-30 Physical Damage +30% of Darius’ AD over the duration of the stack. This maxes out at 65-150 +150% bonus AD total for every stack that the target has.

If Darius kills an enemy champion with his ultimate ability, Noxian Guillotine, or when the enemy has 5 stacks on them, he gains Noxian Might for 5 seconds.

Noxian Might means that Darius gains between 30 and 230 bonus AD, and will apply 5 stacks of Hemorrhage stacks instead of applying just one.

Darius channels his axe for 0.75 seconds, and then spins around in a circle afterwards, dealing physical damage of up to 160% of his AD as Physical Damage, with this damage being reduced to 35% against any enemies hit by the hilt of the axe on the inner swing.

Darius then also heals for every hit against champions or large monsters for between 15% and 45% of his missing health, based on how many targets he hits with the outer swing of the axe.

    W: Crippling Strike

Darius will empower his next basic attack, for which he has four seconds to use it, which gives him 25 bonus range, and deals up to 160% increased Physical Damage. The target he hits is also slowed by 90% for 1 second.

If Darius uses his W, Crippling Strike to kill the enemy, the cooldown is reduced by 50% for the next use, and the mana cost of 40 is refunded.

This ability can also be used to reset Darius’ auto attacks, meaning he can auto-cancel by using his W!

    E: Apprehend

The passive of Darius’ E, Apprehend, gives him bonus armor penetration based on the level of this ability, starting at 20% and reaching 40% at max rank.

The active ability has Darius pull enemies towards him by throwing his axe out in a small cone shape in front of him. This also grants vision of the area for 1 second.

Whilst enemies are being pulled, they become airborne and are slowed by 40% for 1 second after being pulled in.

    R: Noxian Guillotine

Darius slams his axe down on an enemy champion, attempting to execute them. This deals true damage of up to 375 at max rank, with 75% of his bonus AD added. This is increased by up to 100% when the enemy champion has 5 Hemorrhage stacks on them.

If the target Darius dunks on dies within 0.15 seconds, enemy minions and monsters nearby are feared for 3 seconds, and slowed for up to 99% of the duration of the fear.

Darius can also recast the ability within 20 seconds, meaning he can keep dunking every time this ability gets a kill.

When this ability is at max rank, it has no mana cost or a recast timer, meaning once he gets a kill, he gets his ultimate back for good.

Who is Darius dating in LoL?

Darius does not have a current partner in League of Legends. However, the lore says he had a past relationship with Quilletta Varn. They had two children together, named Decius and Invetia. Darius never married her, but their bond was strong. Over time, Darius chose to stay loyal to Noxus instead of building a family. After Invetia killed her own mother during a mission, Darius became more distant and focused only on his duty as the Hand of Noxus.

    Is Draven Darius’ brother?

Yes, Draven is Darius’s younger brother. They both grew up as orphans in the city of Basilich. They survived tough streets and trained together as warriors. Darius has always been more serious and disciplined, while Draven acts wild and loves attention. Even though they have different personalities, they still care about each other. Their shared past made them strong allies. They now both serve Noxus and fight for its power.

    Is Darius good in LoL?

Darius is a strong pick in the top lane. He can deal a lot of damage and win most fights if he gets an early lead. His skills allow him to control lanes and punish weaker champions. In ranked games, he has a stable win rate, especially in matches that go past 40 minutes. He struggles against ranged opponents or heavy crowd control, but when used well, he becomes a major threat.

Darius can be one of the hardest champions to kill in the entirety of the League of Legends roster when in the right hands, but it is okay if they are not yours! We have a load of other champion guides for you to check out to find your perfect main.
