There aren't many AP Mages that can consistently hold their own in the Bot Lane, but Ziggs is one of those few who can. Originally a Mid Laner, the explosive Yordle found his prowess taking up the role of ADC and making it his own Ability-Powered version.

As a lane bully and a harass champion, he forces traditional ADCs to fall behind when playing against him. So if this is something you want to do, then keep reading for everything you need to know about Ziggs in League of Legends!

Ziggs’s abilities in League of Legends

    Passive: Short Fuse

Periodically Ziggs’ next auto attack will be empowered, dealing up to 160 bonus Magic Damage plus 50% of his AP - which is increased by 150% against structures such as Towers, Inhibitors and the enemy Nexus!

The cooldown of his Passive, Short Fuse, is reduced by up to six seconds based on his level whenever Ziggs casts an ability.

    Q: Bouncing Bomb

    Ziggs Q

Ziggs will throw a bomb at his chosen location which then bounces forward twice, with each bounce being larger based on how far Ziggs has thrown the bomb.

This will do a small amount of AOE Magic Damage to any enemies whenever it hits an enemy, terrain, or after it finally bounces for the second time. This is up to 285, plus 65% of Ziggs’ AP.

    W: Satchel Charge

    Ziggs W

Ziggs launches a charge at his chosen location that stays there for four seconds and gives some vision of the area. Ziggs can recast this ability to explode it early, or he can wait four seconds for it to automatically explode itself.

When this explodes it deals Magic Damage to nearby enemies and knocks them back 500 units, but also knocks Ziggs 825 units away from the center. This Magic Damage is up to 210 plus 50% of his AP.

A bonus effect of Satchel Charge is that the explosion also executes any enemy turrets who are below up to 35% of their max health when this ability is at level five!

    E: Explosive Minefield

Ziggs throws out 11 proximity mines over a small AOE circle that also grants Ziggs vision of the areas that these land in. These will last for up to 10 seconds, but each one gets destroyed whenever an enemy walks over it.

This will deal up to 190 Magic Damage plus 30% of Zigg’s AP, as well as slowing enemies for 1.5 seconds for up to 50% at max rank. Enemies will only take 40% damage from subsequent mines after being hit by the first one.

    R: Mega Inferno Bomb

Ever felt like using a nuke League of Legends? Well, this is essentially what Ziggs’ ultimate is! Ziggs launches the bomb from a long distance away which creates a huge AOE circle the bomb explodes in when it lands.

The bomb does 400 Magic Damage plus 73.33% of Ziggs’ AP, but only 50% of this goes through against champions that aren't in the epicentre of the bomb.

When was Ziggs released in League of Legends?

Despite being over a decade old, Ziggs really holds his own against champions released today. Ziggs was released on February 1, 2012, which was in Patch 1.0.0.133.

Ziggs was also released alongside the skins Major Ziggs and Mad Scientist Ziggs.

Where is Ziggs from in League of Legends?

    Odyssey Ziggs

As Ziggs is a Yordle, we know that he comes from Bandle City, but he currently resides in Zaun! This means that there is a chance that we will see Ziggs appear in the hit Netflix TV show Arcane Season 2, which is coming out in 2024.

Ziggs’ Age in League of Legends

Being from Bandle City, we actually have no idea about Ziggs’ age. Considering Bandle City is a mysterious realm that has no set location and has no history that we know of there is no way to properly figure out Zigg's age -  like many of the Yordles that come from Bandle City!

Ziggs’s Voice Actor in League of Legends

The voice actor for Ziggs is Alessandro Juliani (right) - who also voices the Yordle in Legends of Runeterra! Alessandro Juliani also voices the skin Odyssey Ziggs as well.

    Is Ziggs friends with Jinx?

Ziggs and Jinx are friends in the League of Legends universe. Ziggs used to live in Piltover, where life felt boring to him. Everything changed when he met Jinx. She loved chaos and explosions just like he did.

After spending time together, Jinx told Ziggs to move to Zaun. She said he would have more freedom there. Ziggs followed her advice and found a place where he could enjoy making bombs and causing destruction.

    What animal is Ziggs?

Ziggs is not a real animal. He is a yordle, a small and magical creature in the League of Legends world. Yordles look like animals, but they are not part of the animal kingdom.

Ziggs has fur, big ears, and a wide smile. Some people think he looks like a squirrel or a cat, but he belongs to his own race. Yordles can use magic and often work on creative inventions.

Ziggs is a great champion to pick up if you want to flex between the Mid Lane and the Bot Lane, but we understand if he isn't for you! That means you might want to try out some more traditional ADCs, so we've linked a few guides for those champions down below!

Hi, my name is Eddie, I am a full-time writer and short-form video editor, with a degree in Esports! My main games are VALORANT and League of Legends, so you could say that I am at the beck and call of Riot Games! I have worked previously for a few different websites, doing various roles, such as writing, editing, and even voiceovers, but here at THESPIKE, I am an out-and-out article writer, so I can really get as much content out as I can! I graduated with my Esports degree with a 2:1, and a desire to keep going, so this was a perfect step for me, but I still can't get enough of League of Legends when I'm free.
